When Republicans want to defund Sesame Street, instead of doing literally anything to help middle-class families.

To pretend Republicans are serious about addressing the debt is laughable—and America should laugh!
You could cut the equivalent of what Trump is currently asking for in DOGE cuts every single day, for an entire year, and it still would not match the cost of the Big Ugly bill!
Just so we’re all up to speed, the Republican policy agenda for 2025 is:
📻 Defund PBS & rural radio
🏥 Kick millions off their health care
🍽️ Rip food away from hungry kids
🛥️ Tax cuts for billionaires
I'm voting NO on their DOGE cuts, and so should every Senator.
Republican agenda for this week? Slashing funding for rural radio & aid to stop epidemics around the world.
We're talking about less than 0.14% of the federal budget, by the way.
Apparently, we had enough to spend trillions on tax giveaways for billionaires, but PBS is just too much.
President Trump is now asking Republicans in Congress to rubberstamp Elon's DOGE cuts and rip up bipartisan spending deals.
Every Senator should vote NO and reject Trump’s request to cut off local news broadcasts and weaken our national security.
We invest abroad because it's the SMART thing to do for America. But it's WORTH saying it's the RIGHT thing to do as well.
It's WRONG to shell out trillions for billionaires, only to say less than a penny a day is too expensive to protect hundreds of thousands of little girls from HIV.
The DOGE cuts Trump wants are nothing compared to the tsunami of spending & tax giveaways Republicans just passed.
You could cut EVERY single penny the US has spent on foreign assistance since WWII, and it STILL would not add up to the cost of Trump's Big Ugly bill.
OK, Secretary Noem, then show us the receipts that you extended those contracts.
Turn over documents detailing exactly when you renewed those contracts.
There needs to be bipartisan oversight and Congressional hearings over these truly unacceptable failures.
Here's the deal: Trump, Bondi, and Patel are either a part of the Epstein coverup that they so frequently spoke of...
OR they need to come clean about why they lied to the American people about the Epstein files.
Release the Epstein files, Attorney General Bondi—who's stopping you?
Trump is demanding we slash investments abroad, and Republicans talk about peace through strength as if they are carrying on Ronald Reagan's legacy.
Yeah, OK.
Reagan spent about half a percent of our GDP on foreign assistance. Today we spend LESS than HALF that.

Do not grade this administration on a curve. Their thoughtless cuts and dangerous policies are putting lives in danger.
Make sure everyone knows about these failures.
All of us should be outraged, and no one should let them off the hook. Fire Kristi Noem.
Everyone is sick of Trump threatening our neighbor and close ally with economic warfare.
Tourism is cratering, costs are up, and no one can plan for their business. Enough.
📢MESSAGE TO REPUBLICANS: Congress needs to reassert its authority over tariffs and END this insanity.
Republicans are saying, after trillions in tax cuts for billionaires, there's nothing left for our kids. Sorry! They’re feeding Big Bird to the fat cats.
Maybe this isn't quite how Sesame Street would say it, but America knows that message is brought to you by the letters “B” and “S”
Maybe cutting PBS and getting our kids hooked on brainrot TV is part of the Republican plan.
After all, if our kids watch PBS, they might learn to count!
And if our kids learn to count, how will Republicans ever convince anyone that trillions of dollars in tax cuts are free?
I spoke to my colleagues today and urged them to reject President Trump's request to codify DOGE cuts.
Congress must decide how best to spend taxpayer dollars—not take orders from President Trump and Russ Vought.
We rely on the National Weather Service to prepare for natural disasters—not only that, our entire economy hinges on accurate forecasting.
I joined @schatz.bsky.social in supporting an amendment to protect NWS staffing from Trump's arbitrary mass layoffs.
Republicans blocked it.
The bipartisan funding bills we've drafted in the Senate so far are a firm rejection of the Trump administration's budget cuts & extreme policy demands.
I told just about every Trump cabinet secretary I'd rip up the President's budget request, and that's exactly what I'm doing.
I had some questions for my Republican colleagues today.
We have a record-breaking number of measles cases in America. Where is our public hearing on this crisis?
RFK Jr. fired the entire CDC vaccine advisory panel and replaced them with unvetted vaccine skeptics. Will Republicans call a hearing?
Why does this President have no idea who is making decisions on his behalf? These are serious matters of national security.
What else does he have no clue about?
