It was a privilege to honor Minnesota Vietnam War Era veterans this morning with a Congressional pin presentation in recognition of their service. On behalf of a grateful nation, I thank all of Minnesota’s brave veterans for serving our country honorably.
President Trump’s executive order dismantling the Department of Education undercuts America’s greatest strength – our children and the promise of America’s future. This action is not only illegal, it threatens America’s ability to build a future workforce to compete in the global economy.
President Trump needs to quit his bombastic rhetoric and work to return Israel and Hamas to the negotiating table to restore the ceasefire so that the violence will cease and the remaining hostages can be returned home safely.
Prime Minister Netanyahu’s unilateral decision to end the ceasefire and resume Israeli military activity in Gaza is outrageous. The civilian casualties from these new Israeli strikes have been appalling. www.bbc.com/news/article...
Thanks to Episcopal Homes in Saint Paul for hosting me for a town hall this afternoon.
Minnesota’s seniors expect Congress to protect, not cut Medicaid, Medicare, or Social Security.
In Washington I’m doing everything I can to defend these critical lifelines that Americans rely on.
I am LIVE on Facebook and Instagram right now for a virtual town hall. Tune in!

Cuts to Medicaid are cuts to people.
I visited Gillette Children's this morning to speak with President & CEO Barbara Joers about the need to protect Medicaid for Minnesota's families, seniors, children, and people with disabilities.
Congratulations to Todd Hurley on being named Mr. Pat of the 2025 Saint Paul St. Patrick’s Day parade! Wishing a cheerful day full of luck and laughter with family and friends to all those celebrating in Minnesota.
Please join me for a virtual town hall on Wednesday night at 6:30pm on Facebook and Instagram Live!
I'll talk about the budget, update you on my work, and take questions. You can submit questions using the link below or drop questions in the chat during the town hall. forms.office.com/g/vK4YhLBZ6v
I’m deeply disappointed in Senate Democratic leadership for allowing this bill to pass. The full-year continuing resolution for Fiscal Year 2025 is the greatest transfer of federal spending authority from the Congress to the White House that I have ever seen.
The voices of the American people must be heard. Leader Schumer and Senate Democrats must reject Republicans' dangerous government funding bill.
The S&P 500 has plunged over 10% in response to President Trump's reckless economic policies. Republicans can't spin reality: Trump's tariffs are wreaking havoc on our economy.
The Trump Administration is more interested in maximizing the profits of giant corporations than protecting the health of you and your family.
They are polluting the mission of the Environmental Protection Agency.
The Trump Administration is violating Mahmoud Khalil's first amendment rights. He must be allowed to speak with his attorneys privately, and his constitutional rights must be respected. The conditions and location of his detention are unacceptable.
This Republican funding bill is a disaster. I'm voting no.
The GOP government funding bill would cut $2.2 billion in healthcare investments that the American people rely on, ranging from NIH clinical trials to veterans' care. I took to the floor of the House of Representatives to voice my outrage that House Republicans are attacking Americans' healthcare.
Republicans in Washington claim they have a mandate. They’ve already used it to pass a budget resolution that will gut Medicaid and SNAP. If they want to use it to pass a government funding bill that cuts more than $1.3 billion in healthcare funding, they can find their own votes to do it.
A full-year CR is an absurd proposal.
I will vote NO on Republicans’ irresponsible government funding bill today.
For decades, Minnesota’s families and students have visited the Science Museum and the Mississippi River Visitor Center to learn about conservation, science, and the importance of the Mississippi. Terminating federal offices at these sites is short-sighted. www.startribune.com/feds-plan-to...

Alignment stats consider only votes where a clear yes/no majority existed for the legislator's party. Cross-party marks divergence where the vote matched the opposite party majority. ↔ indicates cross-party divergence.
