The 'Big Beautiful Bill' is a nightmare for hardworking Minnesota families looking for help with the rising cost of living. Rather than taking action to reduce prices, the President and Congressional Republicans are pushing devastating health care cuts for millions of Americans.
The House Republican majority betrayed the American people tonight by voting to cut Medicaid and hand enormous tax breaks to giant corporations and their billionaire donors.
This cruel budget harms Minnesota's kids, seniors, and workers — I'll fight it every step of the way.
House Republicans are using their majority to serve their wealthy donors at the expense of working families.
House Republicans want to cut Medicaid by $880 billion. I’m voting NO!
More than 16,000 East Metro residents access health coverage through the Affordable Care Act. The Republican budget would cause premiums in MN-04 to rise by an average of $1,560 per year — a 41% spike. The GOP budget gives huge tax breaks to billionaires, but leaves working people with a big bill.
The reckless House Republican budget is a complete betrayal of working-class and middle-class Americans who want government to lower prices. Instead, Republicans in Congress are scheming to cut Medicaid and funnel tax breaks to their billionaire donors and giant corporations.
House Republicans intend to bring their budget for a vote today. They want to cut Medicaid by $880 billion, cut SNAP by $230 billion, and add $4 trillion to the deficit — all to provide a massive tax break to billionaires.
I will stand up for Minnesota and vote NO on this damaging GOP plan.
As we mark three years since Russia's illegal invasion of Ukraine, the U.S. should be standing strong with Ukraine and our democratic allies in Europe. Ukraine has a right to sovereignty, and Ukrainians should be able to live life freely without fear of violent attacks.
Today I joined UMN President Cunningham and business leaders in St. Paul for the first National Security Research & Innovation Day. Investments in research and workforce are vital to our national and economic security — and have the bipartisan support of Minnesota's Congressional delegation.
For almost 250 years, USPS has provided critical mail delivery ranging from letters to loved ones to prescriptions and social security payments. I have zero confidence in the ability of this White House to handle six-day deliveries across the country. www.washingtonpost.com/business/202...
I commend the 14 Republican Minnesota Legislators who recognize the damage the U.S. House GOP budget would cause. It’s wrong to cut Medicaid — a healthcare lifeline for over a million Minnesotans with disabilities, seniors, and children — to give more tax breaks to billionaires like Elon Musk.
The Republican budget makes an $880 billion cut to Medicaid.
In Minnesota, 31% of kids and 34% of new moms and their babies depend on Medicaid.
I'll fight this and any other budget proposal that takes away health care from kids, parents, seniors, and people with disabilities.
President Trump has fired her without cause. In Admiral Franchetti, I see only hard work, dedication, and the experience needed to serve as the Chief of Naval Operations.
In addition to the firing of General Charles Q. Brown Jr., I am shocked at President Trump’s decision to dismiss Admiral Lisa Franchetti, Chief of Naval Operations. Admiral Franchetti earned her stars through her forty years of distinguished service to our nation.
General Charles Q. Brown Jr. has honorably served our nation for over forty years. I am appalled by President Trump’s decision to fire him from his position as Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

Just so everybody is clear on Republican priorities:
We put up an amendment to make sure nobody making over $500 million gets a tax cut. Republicans voted against it.
Republicans in Washington are coming for Medicaid.
Access to health care is essential. I will never stop fighting to protect this lifeline for seniors, children, and families.
President Trump is wrongfully firing Minnesotans serving the American public, from the Park Service to the VA. These reckless cuts don’t just impact our neighbors who've been laid off — they impact critical services for all of us.
President Trump and House Republicans want to cut Medicaid and food assistance for millions of seniors, children, and families — all to cut taxes for billionaires.
Despite these huge cuts, their plan still increases the Debt by $3 trillion. thehill.com/homenews/adm...
President Trump is lying. Ukraine did not start this war.
We all watched in horror as Putin launched the illegal full-scale invasion of Ukraine. President Trump’s whitewash cannot change the fact that the Russian military has killed thousands of innocent Ukrainian civilians.
