From supporting academic programs for veterans to funding adult literacy programs, students from all backgrounds benefit from the Department of Education.
That’s why I will keep challenging these ongoing attacks on education every chance I get.
Imagine being a retiree on a fixed income, and having your Social Security check delayed.
But now there is nobody to answer the phone and the closest assistance office to you has been closed.
Elon Musk can miss a check. Can your grandparents?

In case you missed my town halls last weekend, I've got another this Saturday!
Join me at Nicolet Union High School in Glendale at 10AM.
Republicans know exactly what they’re doing. Their math is no secret: they want to gut Medicaid to funnel billions into tax cuts for the ultra-wealthy.
Medicaid is a lifeline and not a line item to be slashed to make billionaires trillionaires.
#MedicaidDayOfAction
Today is #MedicaidDayOfAction -- So again I want to ask my Republican colleagues why they're willing to put thousands of Wisconsin's children at risk of losing BadgerCare?
Undermining efforts to support local farmers, feed vulnerable communities, and improve the resiliency of the food supply chain.
The textbook definition of efficiency…

Their own internal memos prove that the cuts to SSA made by DOGE will be devastating to vulnerable populations — culminating in millions of Americans at risk of not being able to access their earned benefits.
I’m hearing it loud and clear from Wisconsinites: They don't want Elon Musk and DOGE messing with the Social Security Administration.
The GOP wants to decimate the agency’s ability to function so they can justify their end goal to end Social Security as we know it.
Trump has spent nearly 30 percent of his Presidency on a tax payer funded golf outing.
Looking at the deteriorating economy and the dysfunction of his Administration, you have to wonder if it wouldn’t be better if he stayed on the golf course.
Heartbroken for the passing of my former colleague and friend Nita Lowey. I fondly remember my first trip to the African continent with Nita.
She was always cheerful and welcoming, and was a fierce fighter for her constituents. Rest in peace, my friend.
My constituent, Major Gwen Sheppard, said it best.
The VA is not just a hospital. It is vital for veterans like her.
I will oppose any efforts to weaken and privatize the VA.
Thank you to everyone who turned out for my town halls today!
It’s always a pleasure to speak with constituents face to face & an honor to serve WI-04.
For those who had to stand or wait in overflow space, THANK YOU for staying. Stay tuned cause I’ve got more coming up!

Making it harder to enforce the tax code makes it easier for the wealthiest Americans to skip out on paying their fair share.
You can’t cut the amount of money Republicans are calling for out of the Energy and Commerce Committee without cutting Medicaid - a program vital for women and children’s health.
Don’t let them gaslight you.
Elon Musk rehired the person who said he was “racist before it was cool” and put him on the team responsible for SSA firings - an agency with one of highest proportions of Black workers.
The GOP demean qualified hires if they are Black or women as “DEI hires” while empowering unqualified racists.
These times demand courage and leadership. Thank you Senator Baldwin for standing up for Wisconsinites.
