I'm headed back to Washington, DC today! Before my flight, I joined the groundbreaking for the new Queens Public Library in Rego Park and stopped by our veterans mobile office hours event in Woodside — where my office is helping them access the VA benefits they’ve earned.
✈️Next stop: Capitol Hill!
Immigrations courts are already experiencing major backlogs. This will only cause more delays, put more strain on the courts, and penalize immigrants and their family members who are trying to follow the law. (2/2)
I'm demanding answers from Attorney General Pam Bondi about the 8 federal judges who were abruptly fired from 26 Federal Plaza in New York. (1/2)
Weekend Office Hours: 12/13
My team & I are hosting weekend office hours Saturday, December 13, 10am-1pm, at my Forest Hills District Office! Stop by to ask questions & receive assistance with federal agencies like the IRS, VA, Social Security, & more.

Proud to secure $2M in federal funding for outdoor dining setups for restaurants in Queens!
Working in partnership with the NYC Dept. of Small Business Services & Queens Chamber of Commerce, we are helping them boost revenue, hire more workers, & create vibrant streetscapes in our community.
Today, on Pearl Harbor Day we honor the memory of soldiers, sailors, and civilians who died on December 7, 1941. Their courage, sacrifice, and unwavering devotion to our nation will never be forgotten.
Small businesses lost more than 120k jobs in November.
These numbers are devastating to communities like Queens.
The President’s reckless tariffs are driving up costs, forcing layoffs, and threatening the dream of building something from the ground up. Americans deserve better.
If you are born in America, you are an American. Full stop.
The President's crusade against birthright citizenship is unconstitutional and un-American.
Our democracy depends on protecting it.

Nursing is a profession.
U.S. Department of Education's decision to no longer recognize it as a professional degree will prevent students from pursuing this vital, life-saving career. We're already experiencing shortages throughout our health care system. The Administration must reverse course.
It was wonderful to talk and sing with local seniors during the singing chorus program at Selfhelp Community Services, Inc.’s Benjamin Rosenthal-Prince Street Older Adult Center in Flushing.
The Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP) helps thousands of New Yorkers afford home energy bills during the cold winter months. HEAP benefits are now available for qualifying households through April 7, 2026.
Do you qualify? Learn more & apply today.
To RSVP, reach out to my office at (718) 358-6364.
Attn Veterans: VA Intake Day
My team & I are hosting a VA intake day Tuesday, December 9, 10am-2pm, at St. Sebastian’s Post #870 Catholic War Veterans! Representatives from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs will be available to assist with VA claims & answer questions about your VA benefits.
Detaining and deporting young children does nothing to improve public safety. Ripping them away from their parents won't make our streets any safer either. The Administration claimed it would focus on dangerous criminals — why are they targeting kids and parents?

It’s always great to stop by Maspeth Town Hall. I had a fun time speaking with seniors, children and parents taking part in various activities at the facility.
This historic settlement finally holds Starbucks accountable and put money back in the pockets of thousands of workers. It's a major win for fair labor and the dedicated employees leading the fight for workers’ rights. (2/2)
Starbucks violated NYC’s Fair Workweek Law over half a million times—forcing employees into unstable schedules that make childcare and second jobs nearly impossible to manage. (1/2)
We are in contact with both ICE and USCIS regarding the status and the necessary steps to ensure that they are reunited with their family in accordance with the law.
Cases like this do nothing to improve public safety. (2/2)
