I stand ready to pass a bill that saves health care, lowers costs for families, & funds the government. (2/2)
Over a million New Yorkers are facing higher premiums & thousands are at risk of losing their coverage altogether.
If the GOP majority doesn't take action, costs will go up, thousands of Americans will go without care, & people will die. (1/2)
We’re open!

I am horrified by the violent and hateful act perpetrated against Jews in Manchester on the holy day of Yom Kippur.
My thoughts are with the victims, their families, and the entire Jewish community. We stand firmly against antisemitism in all its forms.

My team & I are monitoring the NYCHA building collapse in the Bronx.
As we learn more, I'm grateful for the first responders at the scene conducting search & rescue missions and I am praying for all who are impacted. Please avoid the area as emergency operations continue.
I continue standing ready to negotiate on a bill to open our government, but my GOP colleagues must be willing to do the same.

The federal government entered a shutdown as of 12:01 a.m. due to a lapse in federal funding.
This shutdown was completely avoidable, but the GOP majority refused to pass a bill that funds the government, lowers costs for families, and saves health care. (1/2)
Democrats aren’t forcing a shutdown—we’re working to protect women and families from rising health care costs.
As a mom of two boys, I know how critical it is for women and families to have access to affordable health care.
If health insurance tax credits expire, people like cancer survivor Laura Packard will be among those most at risk.
The GOP health care crisis is ripping away coverage, raising health care costs, and closing hospitals.
House Democrats are in DC ready to pass a bill that funds our government, lowers costs, and saves health care.
Where are our GOP colleagues?
This message on the HUD website is outrageous! It is also likely illegal. Our federal agencies are supposed to serve Americans in a non-partisan manner, not be political mouthpieces for the President.

There are less than 24 hours until a government shutdown, yet Republicans are nowhere to be found.
CAPAC Chair @meng.house.gov and @tokuda.house.gov will be hosting an Instagram Live at 3pm ET/12 pm PT to discuss what’s at stake.

Prescription drug costs are already too high.
Now, the President’s new tariffs will make them even more costly—forcing hardworking families to shoulder the burden once again.
This week at India Home and the Newtown Senior Center, I listened to residents share their concerns. I’m fighting to reverse these cuts and preserve vital tax credits that help keep health care costs low for thousands of Queens families.
Seniors in Queens & across the country are deeply concerned about the GOP's devastating cuts to Medicaid.
I am grateful for the first responders at the scene and I am praying for the victims and everyone impacted by this unthinkable violence — but thoughts and prayers aren’t enough. We need action to end the epidemic of gun violence. (2/2)
Absolutely horrified by the violent attack in Grand Blanc, Michigan. No one should ever fear for their life in a place of worship. (1/2)
