This #BlackHistoryMonth, I will continue to do all that I can to uplift the name of Dr. Pouncy and every man and woman who has made such significant contributions to the advancement of our great nation.
Dr. Hillard Pouncy, Jr. was a student, a research scientist, and a beloved father and grandfather. But perhaps most notably, he was one of the original Tuskegee Airmen during World War II.
Graphic featuring white text on blue background that reads "My story is a simple one. In everything I did-whether for my country, my family, my people, or my Maker-I did my best. I am convinced this is the meaning of being a Tuskegee Airman." -Dr. Hillard Warren Pouncy Jr.

I marvel at the progress of our American life seen through the eyes of Dr. Hillard Pouncy, Jr., a Tuskegee Airman who lived right here in Georgia's Sixth District. At the start of Black History Month, I shared some words in honor of a truly remarkable American.
The presence of ICE in our communities is not about public safety. It is about stoking fear and silencing peaceful dissent. This is a direct attack on civil rights and due process to target communities of color. The depravity starts at the top, and Kristi Noem must be held accountable.
As our region braces for a winter storm, I want to make sure you have all the information you need to be prepared. Please follow the guidance of local public safety officials, be prepared for travel disruptions and potential loss of power, and stay safe. Visit www.weather.gov/ffc/ for updates.
Georgia has a long and painful history of voter suppression. We will not be intimidated by anyone who seeks to undermine our democracy. I am grateful to Former Special Counsel Jack Smith for testifying to @democrats-judiciary.house.gov about the facts. youtu.be/xfyB5USuG5Y
Had a wonderful time in the garden with Rebuilding Together Atlanta and NPUH West Atlanta as we celebrated the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Thank you for having me!
As more and more of our world becomes familiar with AI, it’s important that Congress helps keep Americans safe and informed. Hear how kindergarteners in Georgia are enriching their learning 🎥
Hard-working Americans have earned their Social Security benefits with every paycheck. We must support and extend the program so that no one has to unexpectedly return to work in their 70's or 80's just to feed themselves.
In @democrats-judiciary.house.gov, I spoke in support of H.R. 2853, the Combating Organized Retail Crime Act. Organized retail theft is a large-scale criminal enterprise. This bipartisan solution protects workers, communities, and our economy.
Republicans were trying to pay the American people less for the hours they work. I spoke against their proposed bill on the House floor with my Democratic colleagues and Republicans CANCELLED the vote. I'm proud to fight for working families in Georgia and across the country.
Happy Founders Day to my Sorors of Delta Sigma Theta! I am forever grateful for a sisterhood that shaped my values, strengthened my voice, and grounded me in service. It is an honor to be part of a legacy that uplifts communities and reminds us all that lasting progress is built together.
Today, I joined @neatoday.bsky.social to mark the 50th anniversary of IDEA. For years, families were promised the right to send their children to good public schools regardless of disability. That promise is under threat, and I will not stop fighting to protect it.
