Rural letter carriers serve millions of Americans who live outside cities - including in some of the western parts of RI-02! I had a great conversation with RI’s Rural Letter Carriers Association about protecting the services they provide and the small towns they keep running.
RI fishermen earned grants to upgrade their old gear—good for business & the environment. Now those funds are frozen, leaving workers stuck with the bill. Just one more way Trump is breaking promises to working people to pay for billionaire tax breaks.
15 years ago, the Affordable Care Act expanded health care for tens of thousands of Rhode Islanders and protected preexisting conditions. Trump and House Republicans still want to eliminate it. Unacceptable. We can’t go back.
Jonathan from Warwick called us in a panic—his son’s passport was delayed just weeks before he was set to be ring bearer at a wedding overseas. We got it sorted in time. Need help with a federal agency? Give us a call at (401) 244-1201—we’re here to help.
Why are Elon & his interns exempt from transparency laws that apply to other agencies? With all the chaos they’re creating, the public deserves answers. I’m cosponsoring the CLEAR Act to ensure DOGE responds to Freedom of Information Act requests, just like other agencies.
My senior advisory committee helps me focus on what matters most to older Rhode Islanders—protecting Medicare & Social Security, lowering drug costs, and ensuring they can age with dignity. Today’s discussion: threats to vital programs and our work to defend them by any means.
Seniors & disabled Americans made 80M calls to Social Security last year. Now, Trump & Musk have begun shutting down phone services—cutting off a vital lifeline to benefits. I'm joining 60 colleagues calling for an immediate U-turn on this decision & to keep SSA phone lines open.
March Madness is kicking off in Providence. 🏀 Excited to welcome fans, players, and coaches to the AMP for a great weekend of college basketball—and showing off everything RI has to offer! Who’s your pick to make a deep run?
Visited Farm Fresh RI to hear how Trump & Musk’s cuts have frozen programs to help Rhode Island farmers and fisherman get their products to local schools and food pantries. We should not be pulling the rug out from the local food economy to pay for billionaire tax cuts.
Like most Rhode Island babies, my littles Max & Lucy were born at Women and Infants. Today we had a first look at their new, state-of-the-art labor & delivery unit where even more families will grow. I’ll continue working to make sure our state has the best resources.
For too many Rhode Islanders, homeownership feels out of reach and rents keep climbing. That’s not how it should be. Met with Housing Network of RI and my colleagues to tackle these challenges—because everyone deserves a safe, stable, affordable place to call home.
Rhode Island may be small, but our Irish pride is mighty! ☘️ Great time celebrating St. Patrick’s Day in Providence with RI’s incredible Irish-American community. Wishing everyone a day full of luck, laughter, and maybe a pint or two!
Every child deserves a fair shot—but Trump’s attacks on key programs put Rhode Island families at risk. Sat down with Rhode Island KIDS COUNT to dig into the data and talk about how we can protect education, healthcare, and opportunity for RI kids who need it most.
Happy St. Patrick’s Day, Rhode Island! 🇮🇪 With family from County Leitrim on my mom’s side, I know just how strong Irish roots run in the Ocean State. Enjoy the day, celebrate responsibly, and may the luck of the Irish be with you! ☘️
