Visited the memorial outside Brown’s Barus and Holley Hall to mourn the loss of Ella Cook and Mukhammad Aziz Umurzokov.
My thoughts remain with their families, the survivors, and the entire community as we stand together to heal.
Thank you to the Rhode Island Hospital medical professionals whose steadiness and compassionate care made a difference for students wounded in the tragic Brown shooting.

We have the votes to extend the ACA tax credits NOW.
But House Republicans chose to let health care premiums skyrocket for 22 million Americans in less than two weeks — and go home early.
We should be voting immediately to help people afford their health care.
Alongside my partner in this work, @magaziner.house.gov, we led our House colleagues in a moment of silence for the victims of the Brown University mass shooting.
For the extended Brown and RI communities, we stand together to heal and work towards the safety we all deserve.
Ella Cook and Mukhammad Aziz Umurzokov should be here today taking their finals and getting ready for winter break.
Their senseless deaths have left a hole at Brown and in Providence.
My thoughts are with their families, loved ones, and the Brown community during this incredibly difficult time.
As the investigation continues, if you have any information about the suspect in the Brown University shooting, please call the tipline at (401) 652-5767.

We must stand together to heal.
On this more somber day in Rhode Island, we are reminded by Hanukkah that light will conquer darkness.
May all those observing today experience the peace and brightness our world deserves.
My thoughts are with the Australian Jewish community after the antisemitic attack on a Hanukkah celebration at Bondi beach.
No matter where in the world it occurs, we must work to end terrorism, violence, and antisemitism.
My statement on shooting at Brown University.
I am monitoring the shooting at Brown University and in touch with law enforcement. If you are in danger call 911.
If you are in the area please stay inside and allow law enforcement to do their work.
Anyone with information, please contact the Providence Police Department.
Helped distribute holiday essentials at the 16th annual Community Angels Annual Coat and Toy Drive! 🧥🎁
Serving over 3,000 kids and families annually, I’m grateful for the work of the Community Angels as they spread joy and uplift Rhode Island families during the holiday season.
Under current law, the gun industry gets special treatment, protecting them from liability and denying victims and their families justice.
It’s time to hold the gun industry accountable.
I’m supporting Congressman Eric Swalwell’s bill and standing with victims of gun violence.
A.T. Wall was a true public servant. Despite its difficulty as a longtime corrections leader, he always pursued justice, restoration & rehabilitation.
I am grateful to have called him a friend.
My thoughts are with his family and loved ones.
Trump's siding with the demands of big tech and billionaires that will profit over the people who could get hurt.
His AI executive order will stop actions to keep Americans safe.
After one self-inflicted hunger crisis, House Republicans’ $187 billion in SNAP cuts are causing another for millions.
I won’t stop standing up for Rhode Islanders who will go hungry because of Trump’s cruel Big, Ugly Law SNAP cuts.
Joined Bill Nye to share how our everyday products were made possible by NASA.
The Trump Administration is slashing federal science funding that our future depends on.
Let’s stop the cuts.
The U.S. had eliminated measles in 2000 thanks to vaccines.
Now because of Secretary Kennedy’s lies, it's back with a vengeance keeping kids out of school and threatening to make the holidays miserable and dangerous.
The price of lies is lives.
