Congratulations to the young writers recognized in Write Rhode Island’s Annual Fiction Contest!
Their creative, short works of fiction unlocked unique aspects about the place we call home.
Looking forward to reading stories from these authors in the years to come…📚
Honored to meet with Veterans heading to Washington on the RI250 Honor Flight to see the memorials to their remarkable service.
As we celebrate 250 years of our country, I’m grateful for the RI Fire Chiefs Honor Flight Hub's tireless work to honor our Veterans.
Wishing strength, safety, and success to our brave RI National Guard members deploying overseas.
Your courage and dedication make our state and our entire nation proud.
Stay safe, and know we are all behind you.
Helped celebrate the unveiling of the future statue of 19th century civil rights leader & entrepreneur George T. Downing!
Thank you to the RI Slave History Medallion team and sculptor Vinnie Bagwell for honoring Downing’s meaningful contributions to our community.
Paw-sitively thrilled to celebrate the grand opening of the Rhody Pet Resort!🐾🐕🐈
As a member of the Animal Protection Caucus, I’m working in Congress to strengthen animal welfare and support our furry friends.
Kicked off my morning at the Groden Spring Carnival in Providence!
This Autism Awareness Month and every month, I’m fighting to support inclusivity and protect the health care funding that Rhode Islanders with disabilities rely on.
Rhode Island College and CCRI are leading the way with their new Registered Apprenticeship Program for Information Security Analysts.
With threats on the rise, we’ll need a skilled cybersecurity workforce to protect Rhode Islanders’ data & critical systems across the country.
Trump's threat to “take over” Cuba recklessly risks dragging America into yet another unnecessary war.
Cubans deserve freedom and dignity. But not at the point of Trump’s sword.
Alongside @meeks.house.gov and @jayapal.house.gov, we must act to prevent an illegal conflict with Cuba.
A bunch of insiders are making out like bandits over recent decisions on war and peace.
That’s just wrong and immoral.
It’s why we introduced the BETS OFF Act — to stop prediction markets from offering bets on acts of war, terrorism, and assassination.
My thoughts are with the impacted workers and their families from last night’s industrial explosion in East Providence.
I spoke to Mayor DaSilva and shared my gratitude for the first responders who ran into danger to help the injured and contain the damage.
Trump started an illegal war and all it achieved was American & civilian casualties and higher gas prices.
We still don't have full access to the Strait of Hormuz.
Iran still has nuclear material and bombs are still flying.
Americans have paid a terrible price for this war.
Trump is risking escalating his illegal Iran war irrevocably.
To stop it the following must happen:
- Speaker Johnson brings Congress back now
- Immediate vote to end the war
- Ceasefire with push for diplomacy
- Cabinet stands up to Trump & doesn't let him commit war crimes
Trump’s words show that he’s beyond unfit to be President.
He is dangerous and a risk to us all.
Republicans in Congress — or frankly anyone with influence over this President — speak up!
Your silence and complicity hurts us all.
This madness needs to stop now.
Trump released his budget for 2027, and it’s bad. Really bad.
Budgets are a statement of values, and Trump has made it crystal clear he doesn’t value YOU, your opportunities, or your rights.
We will fight this at every step and make sure American values win.
This is what American ingenuity and innovation looks like!
Congratulations to the crew of Artemis II who have now traveled deeper into space than any other humans.
I will keep fighting on the Science, Space, and Technology Committee to fund NASA and American exploration for generations to come.
Proud to bring home $966,000 in federal funding to upgrade Bristol Police’s communications systems!🚓📻
This money will help the department handle everything from routine police calls to the upcoming semiquincentennial celebration at the nation's longest running 4th of July parade!
Show me your budget, and you’ll show me what you value.
President Trump’s values are clear.
He wants to spend $1.5 trillion on endless conflicts, like his war of choice in Iran, instead of priorities like the health care of the American people.
Volunteer Easter Bunnies from Community Angels and the Elisha Project were hard at work this week preparing holiday baskets for Rhode Island kids!
🐇Hoppy to help pass out these egg-cellent treats and spread some joy this Easter!🧺💐
Happy Easter Sunday!🐰
In this season of rebirth, I hope every Rhode Islander observing has a joyful and fellowship filled holiday.
Deeply moved by the opening of the African American Museum of Rhode Island.
The history of progress, struggle & resilience of our Black community will live on because of this work.
Kudos to the AAMRI team for preserving & sharing stories of African American Rhode Islanders.
