I was proud to secure $40 million for the Shoshone permanency project, which will protect water rights on the Western Slope for a generation.

House Republicans enacted the largest cut to Medicaid in the history of the program, while slashing healthcare tax credits for working families.
It is long past time for Medicare for All.

Last year, many of us warned that Trump’s reckless budget bill would increase the deficit by trillions — including increasing debt-service costs by $687 billion over the next decade.
Those warnings were ignored.
And the national debt has now hit $40 trillion.
The Community Agriculture Alliance is doing incredible work in the Yampa Valley, supporting local producers, ranchers and farmers, and getting fresh food from across Western Colorado onto family tables.

As a son of immigrants, I’m outraged by the Trump administration’s cruel immigration policies.
We must pass my legislation to end the use of “for-profit” private, detention centers — which has spawned the largest detention-industrial complex in our country’s history.
