The hypocrisy of House Republicans was on full display this afternoon in the Rules Committee — their reckless bill must be rejected!
Just arrived back in Washington D.C. and grateful to take some calls from constituents & visit with them before I head off to the Rules Committee hearing to fight against Republicans' reckless budget bill!
The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) says it best:
“[T]his bill will cost hundreds of thousands of good-paying construction jobs, billions of work hours, and hundreds of billions in lost wages and economic benefits to America’s middle class.”
The bill must be defeated!

The bill slashes funding for health care & food assistance for working people, and increases the deficit by trillions.
But don’t worry — they spend $40 million on Trump’s “Garden of Heroes.”

No matter how much House Republicans try to ignore the climate crisis — which is making wildfires across the West more severe and pervasive — we won’t stop sounding the alarm!
Today’s Supreme Court’s decision is reckless and misguided.
But as a son of immigrants, let me be clear — the legal fight to preserve birthright citizenship, and push back against unlawful executive orders, is far from over.
As we mark the 10th anniversary of Obergefell v. Hodges, which legalized same-sex marriage, the Trump administration is now attacking fundamental civil rights protections. We must all recommit to the fight for equality for the LGBTQ+ community — just as trailblazer Clela Rorex did so valiantly.
Senator Mike Lee is now trying — for the third time — to sell-off YOUR public lands to the highest bidder.
We’ve built a bipartisan coalition to repeatedly block his efforts, and will keep doing so until he gets the message:
