Amb. Huckabee's statement undermines decades of American foreign policy and I urge the Administration to reject his comments. The United States must remain committed to a two-state solution. It is the clearest path to long-term peace, security, and stability in the region.
I asked Sec. Lutnick a simple question: would he protect 24/7 weather monitoring in Marquette? He gave me anything but a straight answer.   He won't put Michiganders' safety first, so I introduced legislation that would help keep our forecasting offices open around-the-clock.
It was great to sit down with Indivisible members from across Michigan today. Together, we'll continue to fight back against President Trump and Republicans as they try to take Michiganders' health care and food assistance away to give tax cuts to billionaires.
It has been 81 years since the Allied Forces landed in Normandy, France to launch their assault on the Nazi regime. This D-Day we recognize the thousands of brave servicemembers who risked everything to liberate Europe.
President Trump’s tax bill would kick millions of Americans off health care and food assistance and raise the national deficit by $2.4 TRILLION — all to put more money in billionaires’ pockets.   It’s a big, beautiful betrayal of hardworking families.
The bill that Pres. Trump & Republicans are trying to pass would cut health care coverage for almost 11 million Americans — including hundreds of thousands of Michiganders.    Taking health care away from seniors & children to give the ultra-wealthy tax cuts makes no sense. I’ll never support that.
Job Corps has helped countless Michiganders find a career and build a better life. The Trump administration's decision to pause this program will hurt Michigan families and our economy. As a longtime supporter of Job Corps, I'll keep fighting to protect it.
My bipartisan bill to build on the CHIPS and Science Act recently passed the Senate. I'm going to keep working to see it enacted into law so we can bolster American manufacturers, reduce our dependence on foreign supply chains, and create more good-paying jobs for Michiganders.
I am outraged and deeply disturbed by the antisemitic terror attack in Boulder yesterday. My thoughts are with the victims, their families and community, and I’m grateful for the swift action of law enforcement. We cannot tolerate this kind of hateful violence in America.
My number one priority has been — and always will be — getting things done for Michiganders. I know that the best way to make that happen is by working with my colleagues on both sides of the aisle. That's why I've been ranked the most effective Senator three times in a row.
I just authored a report as Ranking Member of HSGAC which found that the 19 Inspectors General that President Trump illegally fired would have saved billions more than DOGE.   This is not an administration that's serious about saving taxpayer dollars.
Memorial Day is a solemn time to honor the heroic Americans who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving in uniform. We stand here today because of their unwavering courage and profound love for our country.   Their sacrifice is a debt we can never repay, and never forget.
American taxpayer dollars should be invested in American manufacturers and workers.   We’ve got to pass the STOP China Act to ensure the tax dollars that we invest in our transit operations don’t go to CCP-controlled companies.
