By shutting down the government, Trump and Republicans are threatening the lives and livelihoods of millions of families.
I'll keep fighting to reopen the government, mitigate the Republican-caused healthcare crisis, and protect our communities.
My full statement:
Tonight, the United States is barreling towards a manufactured Trump Government Shutdown.
Proud to stand with families & workers who'd be harmed by a Republican government shutdown.
It's shameful that Republicans would rather shut down the government than address the healthcare crisis they created.
Democrats are ready to fund the government & protect our families.
Government funding runs out tomorrow and Republicans are cheering for a shutdown and pushing a terrible bill that would push healthcare out of reach for families.
To the 29,000+ people in the #MA7 who would be impacted: I’m fighting for you.
Heartbroken by the mass shooting in Grand Blanc, Michigan and pray for everyone impacted.
No one should ever fear this type of violence, especially in a place of worship.
Congress must pass gun violence prevention legislation and stop this cycle of violence once and for all.
Republicans created a healthcare crisis by kicking millions off their insurance and causing millions more to face higher premiums.
Now, they'd rather shut down the government than work with Democrats to address the harm they caused.
Our communities deserve better.
Happy Karen Holmes Ward Day, Boston!
Karen, you've shaped the stories of our lives, and you deserve to be celebrated.
I'll always be grateful for all the ways you've shown up for me.
Congratulations on an incredible career and a hard-earned retirement.
We're facing an alarming eviction crisis in towns like Randolph in the #MA7.
And Trump's attacks on HUD and cuts to affordable housing funding is making it worse.
We must keep fighting to affirm safe, affordable housing as the human right that it is.

Trump and ICE are terrorizing Black & brown families, abducting our neighbors off the street, & putting our constituents at risk.
For folks like Luiz and so many others, my office will continue conducting oversight & standing with our immigrant neighbors.

Paul Dama means so much to so many in our community.
His release is a powerful reminder of what is possible when our community comes together, rallies behind a beloved neighbor, and stands firm in the face of Trump & ICE’s shameful reign of terror.

Thank you to everyone who came to our #MA7 constituent coffee in DC!
In moments of chaos like these, it’s so important that we are leaning into community.
Republicans have given cover to predators like Donald Trump, Matt Gaetz, & Jim Jordan for years.
And now, it appears Elon Musk & Steve Bannon may be among them.
Release the full Epstein files, call a hearing with survivors, and hold everyone involved accountable NOW.
Housing is not just a home—it is dignity, health, protection, stability, wealth, community & political power.
I joined @repyvetteclarke.bsky.social, @cleaver.house.gov, & housing advocates to strategize how we can push back as Trump dismantles HUD, evictions rise, & Black homeownership declines.
I'm proud the #MA7 is a national leader in the artificial intelligence industry.
Our startups, investors, researchers & students know how essential diversity in AI jobs is to confront bias, maximize opportunity, & ensure AI works for all.
Happy AI Week, Boston!
Under Trump, nearly 320,000 Black women have been pushed out of the workforce.
This is an economic & moral crisis with dangerous consequences to Black women, Black families, & Black futures.
We're demanding the Fed do its job to ensure maximum employment for ALL, including Black women.
Under Trump, Black women are being rapidly pushed out of the workforce.
Tune in as we sound the alarm on this crisis and demand action.

ICE must immediately release Paul from this unnecessary detention.
www.wgbh.org/news/local/2...
The Court has affirmed what we already knew to be true: Paul Dama deserves to call the #MA7 home.
After ICE abducted him, a vacuum was left behind. I am grateful to our community, who showed up in numbers to reciprocate Paul’s love and immeasurable contributions.
Thank you BCNC for the tour and to the educators and staff for providing a lifeline to our communities every day.
Accessible, high-quality early childhood education is essential to the success of our babies.
With the White House attacking Head Start & gutting education resources, I’m proud to deliver $425K for the Boston Chinatown Neighborhood Center to keep supporting families in Chinatown & across the #MA7.
