I hear every day from families in CO & across the country that rising housing costs are their #1 concern. Thank you @gomez.house.gov for inviting me to the National Housing Summit. I’ll keep fighting on YIMBY & Real Estate Caucus to lower costs & deliver solutions.
An error by Social Security caused Anette Falvo of Golden weeks of stress and a $31,000 loss from her late mother’s account. My office in Lakewood helped recover the funds, easing her burden. Every day we help Coloradans cut through red tape and get the benefits they deserve.
While Trump’s harmful policies threaten working families, the team at Foothills Housing Authority shows up every day to expand affordable housing. I was honored to recognize their work in the Congressional Record—a small way to honor the life-changing impact they have on our community.
When veteran Raul Fernandez faced an urgent challenge with the @VA, my casework team stepped in to help bring relief to him and his family. My office is here to make sure government works for you—if you need help, call 303.274.7944.
Community Table has been on the frontlines providing emergency food assistance & now they’re expanding as Trump’s Big Ugly Bill threatens communities. With demand rising & SNAP cuts looming, I’ll keep fighting to ensure families never have to worry about kids going hungry.
There’s a lot of bad news out there, but Habitat for Humanity’s Griffith Station Homes is a bright light. When local leaders, federal programs & nonprofits work together, we can expand housing & make homeownership possible. Thanks to Habitat for Humanity for changing lives.
Exciting news!🥳 My office has already returned $5 million in federal benefits back to families and businesses in CO-07. Our government should always work for you – not the other way around. If you or someone you know is having trouble with a federal agency, reach out to my office!
@BroomfieldFish is the only food bank & resource center in Broomfield keeping families fed & supported. They’re worried about Trump’s Big Ugly Bill, but their staff & volunteers reminded me of their resiliency—I know they’ll do whatever it takes to support families.
Grateful to join the Colorado Business Roundtable to discuss challenges facing CO businesses—from Trump’s reckless tariffs to immigration policies straining our workforce. I’ll keep fighting his disastrous agenda & support policies that help families, small businesses & our economy thrive.
Annie Farmer. Anouska De Georgiou. Jess Michaels. These are a few of the survivors here in DC telling their stories after enduring unimaginable abuse at the hands of Epstein. Trump wants to silence them. We won't let them be erased. We only need a few Republicans to join us & do the right thing.
School is back in session across Colorado, including at CO School of Mines! I met with faculty & leadership about funding cuts & unlawful withholding of research funds. Mines is building the next generation of innovators, we can’t let these cuts jeopardize our future.
Trump said he wouldn’t cut Medicaid. That was a lie. Now he’s coming for Medicare, forcing seniors to skip prescriptions, closing rural hospitals, & straining nursing homes, all so he can hand out more tax breaks to the ultra-wealthy. https://bit.ly/4lRbEtX
So grateful to meet with Resilience1220 & hear about the lifesaving support they provide Evergreen youth. Thanks to CO legislation we’ve expanded mental health care, but Trump’s cuts put progress at risk. If you’re struggling, you’re not alone, call 988.
Happy Labor Day! Today we honor the workers who keep our country running. Fair wages & safe workplaces aren’t guaranteed, but CO workers are resilient. As I return to DC, I’ll bring their voices & fight for their rights after the passage of the OBBB.
Trump’s Big Ugly Law slashes Medicaid, SNAP & more—hurting CO families. But places like EChO give me hope. From food & housing to mental health support, they’re a lifeline. Demand is rising, but their work proves community power—we’ll weather this storm together.
Being out in the district hearing about the challenges ahead is heavy, but leaders at @ActionCenter give me hope. Their plan to turn a closed school into a one-stop hub for food, clothing & health care shows what’s possible when community steps up.
62 years ago, Americans marched on Washington demanding liberty & justice for all. Their footsteps changed history, but the march never ended. With Trump threatening to erase progress, we owe it to the next generation to keep marching until freedom & equality are real for all.
Left lunch at @GirlsIncDenver so inspired by the amazing girls & women I met 💖 As a woman in politics, I’ve felt overlooked, so it meant a lot to share what it’s like being a mom in Congress, the barriers women still face & the power we have when we lift each other up.
