DIA is already seeing delays from the shutdown & Trump’s mass FAA firings. Air traffic controllers, TSA agents & crews keep us safe, that’s why I’m backing legislation to keep the FAA fully staffed during shutdowns. People’s lives are on the line. https://bit.ly/4hs3PdA
I met Carol, unlawfully detained by ICE with her 7-year-old & deported to Texas. Thanks to her bravery & community support, she got a lawyer & returned home. Her story is rare, but so many immigrants face harsher realities. Thank you, Carol, for sharing your courage.
Thanks to everyone who came to my town hall to talk about the looming health care crisis. We heard from Brian, a local teacher whose premiums could jump from $6K to $18K without tax credits. For families like his, this is life or death and that’s why we’re fighting.
Amazing to see the work I did in the CO legislature come to life at SolVista Health, the only addiction treatment center in the area. It shows what’s possible when leaders work together. But Trump’s Big Ugly Bill puts it all at risk. I’ll fight for places of hope like this.
Trump’s bailing out his right-wing friend in Argentina while American families struggle to stay afloat. It’ll hurt ranchers in states like CO, the 4th largest U.S. beef exporter. Another slap in the face and reminder of who Trump really cares about, not us. https://bit.ly/4nel6Z3
It was inspiring to celebrate the groundbreaking of Mountain Area Land Trust's new Education & Environment Center and see what’s possible when parents, nonprofits & community leaders come together to give students a place to learn, grow, and connect with our lands and environment.
This threat against @hakeem-jeffries.bsky.social is terrifying & just the latest in a pattern of escalating political violence. Unfortunately, we can't forget that Trump pardoned this violent criminal & the hundreds of other violent rioters who attacked our Capitol, which makes all of us less safe.
Trump’s building a taxpayer-funded ballroom costing hundreds of millions while federal workers are fired, services disrupted, and families’ health care premiums skyrocket. Nothing shows his priorities more clearly — and they’re not with the American people.
Trump suggested that the construction would not affect the existing White House. “It won’t interfere with the current building. It won’t be,” he said during an executive order signing in July. Read more here:
Xcel Energy is warning about dangerous winds and potential power shutoffs as wildfire risk grows. Our communities know this threat well it takes investment, coordination, and trust to stay safe. But Trump’s reckless shutdown has stretched wildfire resources thin. We need leaders who put safety first
Happy Diwali! Today we celebrate light over darkness, hope over fear, and community over division. May this Festival of Lights remind us of the power we have to build a brighter, more compassionate future together.
Confirming what we already knew: Trump's tariffs are costing all of us. We shouldn't be footing the bill for Trump’s trade war. In Congress, I've been sounding the alarm for months but we need Republicans to join us & put an end to this. https://nbcnews.to/499JIPf
Republicans’ refusal to work with us will make it impossible for rural Coloradans to get life-saving care. Without action, premiums in Fremont, Custer & Teller Counties could rise up to 283%. This is about keeping families covered and ensuring no one has to choose between rent or care.
We must fund our government and protect Americans’ healthcare. Federal workers who keep our country running, processing veterans’ benefits, protecting airways, ensuring clean water shouldn’t pay the price for political games. They deserve better.
Congress approved this funding, but DOE unlawfully canceled $600M+ in Colorado projects as political retribution. That means lost jobs, halted power upgrades, and gutted research—all because Colorado doesn’t support Trump. We’re demanding accountability and action.
Trump might not value our federal workers, but my team and I have their backs. We’re supporting those impacted by the shutdown and hosted a resource fair. Federal workers just want to get back to serving our country they’re critical to our safety, well-being, and economy.
