He said taxpayers wouldn’t be paying for the ballroom, but they are.  He said Mexico would pay for the wall, but they didn’t.  He said he’d lower prices on day 1, but his tariffs and his war with Iran have only made them higher.

American public schools are supposed to be places where ALL children have the opportunity to succeed. By eliminating these support systems, students with disabilities will not get the support they need from the government and civil rights violations will be swept under the rug.

Bike lanes make everyone on our roads safer. That’s why I’m going to keep working to make sure no one dies like Riley again.

This weekend, I joined Ald. Lawson at his Kids Bike Parade. We recently lost CDOT employee and bike safety activist Riley O’Neil. Riley died on South Halsted Street, after a car door pushed him into traffic. Riley did so much for our community, and he wanted to keep the streets safe for EVERYONE.

Trump must do everything in his power to finalize an agreement with Iran and stop this war. Americans can’t afford for it to continue, and neither can the global economy. Now is the time for the President to actually be a dealmaker.

Since Trump started this war with Iran, I have called for it to end. That’s why I voted for FIVE different War Powers Resolutions to reign in Trump's reckless behavior.

The world’s first trillionaire pays the same amount into Social Security as an American making $184,500. Social Security is currently set to run out by 2032. We need to lift the cap on taxable income NOW and hold Elon Musk and the ultrarich accountable.

Today marks 14 years of DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals). This successful program has helped thousands of #Dreamers work, study, and contribute to our country. Most Dreamers were brought to the U.S. when they were very young—it's the only country they have ever known.
