Today, we celebrate the anniversary of the release of birth control in the U.S.—which changed the course of women’s health and personal freedom. Repro rights are under attack across the country—but reproductive care is a human right and that we will continue to fight to protect our rights!
New Mexico has spoken clearly and lawfully—that we will not be a party to illegal and unconstitutional violations of our communities’ civil liberties and human rights. We stand by our state and local laws and the protection of our communities.
Today, Virginia’s courts directly undermined the will of the people, who voted for the ballot measure to determine their own future. Make no mistake, this is the fight of our generation—but the fight is bigger than one state or one ruling. There are difficult days ahead, but we won’t back down!
headline of news article
Between racial gerrymandering, cutting federal funding, firing military leaders, dismantling civil rights, & trying to rewrite history itself—it’s very clear this Administration has an agenda & a dark one at that. We must push back with everything we’ve got. Because, we 👏 are 👏 not 👏 going 👏 back!
After years of advocacy, the new To’Hajiilee Community School is finally becoming a reality! Honored to help secure $90 million alongside Secretary Deb Haaland, Rep. Paulene Abeyta, Tribal leaders, educators, students, and community members who made this possible! Go TCS Warriors! ✨
Standing with everyone in TN, AL, MS, LA, FL, SC, & others in the fight to protect voting rights in the wake of last week’s devastating decision. We know there are difficult days ahead, but we must continue to organize & fight back in the courts, our communities, our legislatures, & in Congress.
Every day, he 👏 is 👏 breaking 👏 the 👏 law. The Supreme Court ruled his tariffs are illegal and now the International Trade Court. This is not legit trade policy. This is breaking the law, on the backs of the American people, who are paying for it every single day.
Trump's attempt to impose new 10% tariffs gets struck down by a panel of judges
Serious question: Does the GOP really believe Americans want an illegal war in Iran, a billion-dollar ballroom, a $1.5 trillion defense budget, $70 billion added to the deficit, and cuts to healthcare, food assistance, and education—while Americans cannot afford housing, gas, and groceries?
We’re back on the road this morning to To’Hajiilee to celebrate the groundbreaking of their new community school! Securing $90 million for this school is one of our most meaningful wins! Updates on Oversight yesterday with Howard Lutnick and our field hearing in Palm Beach next week with survivors.
Happy National Nurses Day! We’re honoring the nurses and health care workers who show up for NM in every corner of our state. But words aren’t enough.  That’s why I introduced the Public Health Nursing Act—to address the public health crisis and revitalize the nursing workforce in NM & our country!
Trump is trying to use a backdoor to build his ballroom through Reconciliation. Just no! Let’s make our voices loud and clear—NO to Donald Trump’s ballroom slush fund! And, if you’re home here in New Mexico, come out and see us on our southern District Tour!
New Mexico is leading the way—because we do not wait for solutions, we create them. From protecting our land and water to investing in our families and communities, we’re showing what we can do when we are of the people, by the people. This is the New Mexico way! ❤️
