❗️So here is the thing: the Farm Bill is NOT a bipartisan bill. Republicans didn’t share the bill text before it was public, with this message: "This is not a negotiation." ❌ That's not how you write legislation that needs BIPARTISAN support to pass ❌
Today is #WorldWildlifeDay, and while Trump continues to threaten our country's wildlife and public lands, know that I am fighting for our environment. That is why I introduced legislation to permanently protect our nation's untouched forests to safeguard them from Trump's destruction.
I was just at Beaverton’s Behavioral Health Court to celebrate securing them $500,000! These federal dollars will support #Beaverton in hiring clinicians and peer support individuals to ensure that people struggling with their mental health can get the stability, support, and services they need.
I was proud to secure over $1.5 MILLION in federal funding to support our local law enforcement and mental health services right here in #OR06. Whether it's public safety or fixing our roads and bridges, I am committed to bringing home resources that benefit all of our communities.
I just earned a 100% on my @lcv.org National Environmental Scorecard! I'll keep fighting against Trump and his Admin's cruel attacks on our environment. The next generation deserves clean air and protected public lands, and I'm committed to working on real solutions for a cleaner, greener future.
Last year, I delivered $500,000 to the #Tigard Library for critical upgrades to their heating, ventilation, and AC systems so that it can serve as an emergency shelter. Mayor Yi-Kang Hu and I stopped by to see the current progress of the construction. Looking forward to when it’s finally complete!
❗️TODAY❗️ is the LAST DAY to apply for my DC internship. Make sure you get your application in before the deadline. Application submission detail below ↙️
Curious about working in government? Want to give back to our community? If this sounds like you, then you should apply for an internship with my office! Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. Apply here ⤵️
This Women’s History Month, I am proud to celebrate the many pioneering women who have moved our state and nation forward. As a member of the @demwomencaucus.bsky.social, I will honor their legacy by continuing to champion policies that open doors, protect rights, and uplift women.
While our troops are in harm’s way, the Trump Administration has still not shared its strategy, goals, or exit plan with the American people, including Members of Congress. Before any more troops are put into harm’s way, Congress must rein in our out-of-control President. No more forever wars.(2/2)
❗️REMINDER❗️I will be hosting a town hall TODAY at Meridian Creek Middle School in Wilsonville at 3 PM. I look forward to seeing you there!
Hey #OR06! On Saturday, February 28, 3:00 PM PT, I am hosting an in-person town hall for you and your neighbors in #Wilsonville! Everybody is invited; no RSVP required. 📆 Saturday, February 28 ⏰ 3:00 – 4:00 PM PT 📍Meridian Creek Middle School 6300 SW Hazel St Wilsonville, OR 97070
