I’m leading a bipartisan bill to fix an outdated policy that blocks some veterans from transferring their earned GI Bill benefits to future dependents. It’s a commonsense fix to an unfair rule. Read what veterans from across VA-07 are saying 👇
I'm leading a bipartisan bill to fix a policy that prevents service members from transferring their GI Bill benefits to dependents. Right now, if a service member retires before starting a family, they lose the ability to transfer their earned benefits. This bill would fix this unfair policy.
This bill undermines our national security, hurts our military’s readiness, and shortchanges those who serve our country.    In Congress, I’ll continue to fight extreme partisan efforts that put politics and partisanship over commonsense policies. (4/4)
Eliminating 45,000 public servants from the Department of Defense and defunding counterterrorism efforts by $170 MILLION makes us less safe.   Excluding $300 MILLION in security assistance for Ukraine is a gift to Putin and an abandonment our own national security interests. (2/4)
🚨I voted NO on last night’s attempt to defund counterterrorism and slash the federal workforce.    Because as a Member of Congress, I have no greater responsibility than ensuring the safety of our nation. (1/4)
Republicans voted to slash Medicaid and SNAP to give tax breaks to the ultra-wealthy. Virginians like 3-year-old Luka, who relies on 24/7 care and 18 medications covered by Medicaid, will pay the price. That is unacceptable. More w/ FOX5👇
Grateful to Dr. Megan Franco and Northern Virginia Food Rescue for their incredible work in VA-07. This week, Tarazha and Alejandra from my team visited their facility to learn how they’re improving food access and building a more resilient system in our region.
Rey from my team attended the Change of Command at NSA South Potomac, honoring Commanding Officer Captain Townsend and welcoming Commanding Officer Captain Nadder. He also met with Rear Admiral Faehnle and discussed how we can work together to strengthen our national defense.
Today marks three years of the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.   If you or a loved one are experiencing a mental health crisis, you can call or text 9-8-8 or visit 988lifeline.org to speak to a trained counselor. You are not alone
Trump’s tariffs are already raising prices on hardworking families — and Republicans’ new budget will spike costs even more for health care, groceries, and energy. It’s only getting worse. I’m fighting to keep Virginians’ dollars where they belong: in their pockets.
Breaking News: Consumer prices accelerated in June, rising 2.7% from a year earlier, as tariffs started to leave a bigger imprint on the U.S.
I had the opportunity to tour the Kalahari Resorts and Conventions construction site in Spotsylvania! Kalahari will be Virginia's largest indoor waterpark resort. The project will bring over 1,400 permanent jobs to our region and is on track to open in November 2026!
I served in uniform and as a legal advisor at the National Security Council. I know how vital oversight is to keeping our military strong and our leaders honest. I will always stand up to corruption. That’s why I introduced an amendment to the NDAA to protect Pentagon IGs from political firings.
During today’s NDAA markup, I made the case for an investigation into Signalgate and for Secretary Hegseth to resign. I represent 72,000 veterans and tens of thousands of active-duty personnel in Virginia’s Seventh District. They deserve answers — and leaders who take their service seriously.
I led 50+ lawmakers urging the Pentagon to restart munitions to Ukraine. Days later, shipments resumed. Standing with Ukraine is more than a moral imperative — it is in the interest of America’s national security. I won't turn my back on our allies.
As we celebrate National Parks and Recreation Month, we remember that many of Virginia's cherished national parks and forests are currently understaffed due to the Trump Admin's cuts. In Congress, I've been proud to join efforts to support the stewards who care for our parks.
