Today, I heard firsthand from Milwaukee families impacted by the lead crisis that has shuttered schools and displaced hundreds. While Donald Trump and RFK, Jr. continue to sit on their hands, I’ll keep showing up and speaking out on behalf of our students.
Education Secretary McMahon ripped away resources from Wisconsin that were being used to expand access to mental healthcare for students. She refused to answer why, but we already know the answer: so this administration can pay for tax breaks for the rich. www.jsonline.com/videos/news/...
Republicans don’t want us to call out their horrible bill that kicks Wisconsinites off their Medicaid, but we won’t stay silent. Today, I was happy to join families in Beloit who are showing up, standing out, and speaking up for their health care.
The numbers are in, and they are not looking good for Wisconsin families on Medicaid. Under Donald Trump and Republicans’ bill, 258,396 Wisconsinites will be kicked off their health insurance. We cannot let this happen, and I am doing everything I can to make sure it doesn’t.
Donald Trump is taking away lifesaving cancer and Alzheimer's research and putting cures further out of reach for our loved ones. Why? So he can give big corporations a tax break.  This is literally the definition of putting profits over people. www.nytimes.com/interactive/...
No better way to celebrate #NationalCheeseDay than by meeting with the people who support Wisconsin dairy farmers' mission to make the best cheese in the world! Thanks for stopping by, Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation.
Trump and Republicans’ bill will be bad news for your health care. Medicaid is being cut. Health insurance premiums jacked up. Slashing funding for rural hospitals. All to fund tax breaks for corporations. When it comes to the Senate floor, I will be voting NO.
This National Dairy Month, I’m saying a huge thank you to our Wisconsin dairy farmers and producers who work tirelessly to make world-renowned dairy products. We wouldn’t be America’s Dairyland without your hard work! 🧀🥛
This is a big win for these nurses and every patient who walks through the door at Meriter. Every worker deserves dignity and respect on the job — including a safe work environment and a fair paycheck. I’m proud these nurses fought for that and won! www.wkow.com/community/me...
A house is more than just a place to live. It provides security and stability. That’s why I’m fighting to ensure more Wisconsinites can afford to live in the communities they love. Great to be in Washburn breaking ground on new affordable housing that I secured funding for!
When I travel Wisconsin, I hear about the dire need for more affordable child care. This week, I was in Rice Lake and Eau Claire to talk with Wisconsin Head Starts about what President Trump’s threats to the program mean for working families.
Farmers are on the front lines of Donald Trump’s reckless trade war. Today, I was in Chippewa Falls to hear directly from Wisconsin farmers who are facing growing uncertainty as costs go up and export markets shrink.
Donald Trump came into office promising to lower costs for families. Instead, Republicans are about to jack up the cost of health care for hundreds of thousands of Wisconsinites, all so the wealthiest Americans can get richer.
Yesterday, I was honored to join the American Legion in Fond du Lac to visit with our veterans on Memorial Day and honor those who lost their lives for our freedom. Thank you for the warm reception and your service to our country.
Head Start works. It is a vital lifeline for affordable child care and early childhood education that we should be working to expand, not defund. It was great to be in Racine today to hear about what Head Start means to these Wisconsin families.
