We should be working to keep students safe at school. By rescinding guidance that prevented ICE arrests near sensitive locations, the Trump administration is instilling fear in students in their classrooms.
Fire seasons in Oregon are increasingly destructive because of the climate crisis. Our state is losing critical U.S. Forest Service personnel tasked with wildfire preparedness and response efforts—including firefighters—because of Trump and Musk’s reckless cuts. www.opb.org/article/2025...
Thank you to the Pacific Ocean Energy Trust for inviting me to speak at the Northwest Offshore Wind Conference. Addressing the climate crisis is challenging but important work, and it must continue regardless of who is in the White House.

Arielle rightly pointed out the absurdity of cutting research that will save the lives of moms and babies, including in Oregon. Elon Musk and his DOGE Bros might not care, but everyone with an ounce of compassion should.
The firing of many Bonneville Power workers puts the reliability of our electric grid at risk, and it doesn’t “save” the federal government money because it’s funded by ratepayers.
I always appreciate hearing from the people I represent and your voices help inform my work in Congress. Thanks to the many Oregonians who joined me for my Washington County town hall meeting!
