You read that right, House Republicans actually found a way to kick MILLIONS more Americans off of Medicaid with the final bill they passed. Apparently 13.7 million wasn’t enough for their billionaire donors to get a big enough handout — for an extra yacht or private jet.

Republicans' one big, ugly bill slashes health care for 16 million people, cuts nutrition assistance for 11 million people, and hands tax breaks to the ultra-wealthy. On today’s Democratic Daily Download, @mikethompson.house.gov shares how Democrats are fighting it every step of the way.
Trump & Republicans have hurt our veterans. @HouseDemocrats.bsky.social will continue to expose their broken promises.
They’ve cut funding to essential programs that help access care, froze hiring at the VA, and fired thousands of veterans. This is not how you treat those who served our country.

In today’s Steering & Policy hearing, @HouseDemocrats.bsky.social heard directly from veteran leaders, policy experts, and health care providers on how Trump & House Republicans’ policies and cuts are taking away services for our veterans—so they can give more tax breaks to their billionaire donors.
Our veterans deserve better— but Trump and House Republicans are cutting essential services and firing veterans.
@housedemocrats.bsky.social will fight to make sure America keeps its promise to our veterans.

That’s why I’m leading a bill to safeguard the FCC’s independence and why I stand with FCC Commissioner @agomezfcc.bsky.social, who is leading the fight for independence from inside the FCC to protect Americans’ First Amendment rights.
The FCC is supposed to be an independent agency that is a champion of Americans’ right to free speech— but the Trump administration wants to change that and assert his influence.

My heart goes out to the Jewish community and the victims in Boulder, Colorado who were peacefully demonstrating for the release of the remaining hostages in Gaza at the time of this horrific attack. Thank you to law enforcement for their quick response.

Doctors say she could die within days if she’s deported & loses access to care. This child is not a threat and we should provide her the life-saving care she needs.
A 4-year-old girl in Bakersfield was allowed into the U.S. legally for emergency medical treatment. Now, the Trump Administration has revoked her humanitarian status.

Republicans’ response to Americans kicked off health care and forced to go hungry and people dying because of THEIR bill — “Well, we all are going to die”.
While they’re fine with YOU dying — they want to make sure billionaires can buy another plane, or yacht, or mansion.
