Brutal cold, rising prices, and cuts to SNAP have made this a hard winter for a lot of folks in NE Ohio.
This week, I visited the Greater Cleveland Food Bank to meet with staff, thank volunteers, and hear more about how people are doing.

Trump LIED when he said he had nothing to do with Project 2025.
He LIED when he said he wouldn't execute its agenda.
Now, ICE/DHS- at his direction- is carrying out Project 2025's anti-immigrant, anti-rights agenda line by line.
Surprising? I think not.

Appalled by the attack on Rep. Omar – this is what happens when hateful rhetoric is unleashed non-stop, including from the White House.
We have to all stand united in condemning this.
Grateful for the response at the scene and continually impressed by the strength of Rep. Omar.
Delegate Eleanor Holmes Norton is the blueprint for what civic leadership should look like. From being the first woman to lead the EEOC to organizing the March on Washington, she embodies what it means to be a champion of civil rights. I wish her all the best in her retirement!
Bovino has been a disaster and he must be held accountable.
But he is far from alone in the effort to deploy ICE against American cities.
www.theatlantic.com/politics/202...
Don't buy the White House effort to use Gregory Bovino as a fall guy for weeks of violence, mayhem and abuse in Minneapolis.
It starts at the very top.
Trump called for "reckoning & retribution" and days later Alex Pretti was killed.
Good.
Trump's ICE has been out of control from the get-go, and we all know it.

Northeast Ohio wants no part of Trump’s lawless, reckless, and dangerous ICE agenda.
Not here.
Not in Minnesota.
Not anywhere.
Proud to join the vigil in Cleveland Heights to remember those killed and to vow to keep fighting Trump’s ICE.
The attacks on our communities must end.
One year after the ICE raids on Cilantro shook us all, I’m proud to stand with our community to reject hate & violence, demand accountability, and press for an end to mass deportation.

No amount of cold, snow or ICE can stop us in NE Ohio.
I was proud to stand with constituents tonight in Cleveland Heights for a vigil honoring victims of ICE.

Please read what Alex Pretti’s parents have said. Do not listen to the lies.
The lawlessness of Trump's ICE is exactly how democracies slide into fascism: first masks, then lies, and now violence against anyone who dissents.
ICE isn't enforcing law- it's enforcing fear. This cannot continue Congress must act NOW.

I voted NO on funding ICE and CBP. Here's what must also happen next.
I voted against funding ICE and CBP last week. There is no way the Senate can fund this lawless and violent ICE.
In a just world they wouldn't get a single vote or a single cent.
Nothing but lies, smears, and escalation from Trump and Noem.
They don't want us to see what is clear: Alex Pretti was shot and killed by federal law enforcement
I voted against funding ICE last week. Not one cent for agencies that terrorize our communities.
Your regular reminder that Trump's Big Ugly Law cut $187 billion from SNAP, while sending $170 billion to DHS for immigration enforcement.
We need to repeal the ICE slush fund now.
I feel sick watching the videos.
We all can see what happened to Alex Pretti with our own eyes.
And again, the Trump administration went straight to lying and slander, just like they did with Renee Good.
We can and must stop this public safety and moral crisis.
This letter from Bondi gives the game away.
Minneapolis was never about unrest, fraud or immigration—it was always about using fear and terror to grab power.
And now they are using the threat of state violence to strong arm their way into election interference.
www.newsweek.com/pam-bondi-ic...
Trump’s lawless ICE agents just brutally killed another person in Minnesota.
The Trump-caused mayhem never should have started and must end immediately.
ICE needs to get out of Minnesota now. And Congress needs to impeach Noem and block funding for this disgrace.

Alignment stats consider only votes where a clear yes/no majority existed for the legislator's party. Cross-party marks divergence where the vote matched the opposite party majority. ↔ indicates cross-party divergence.
