With more than 40,000 federal workers in #MO05 and 80,000 across the region, I know many of our neighbors are concerned about the Trump Administration’s attempt to purge civil servants.
As my office seeks clarification on these illegal efforts, find some helpful resources here:

Black history is American history—and it always will be!
As we honor and recognize the extraordinary achievements of Black Americans in every part of American life and culture, let us continue fighting for a more just and equitable future for ALL!
Manufacturing a crisis, causing economic carnage, and then claiming credit for ending the unnecessary crisis is the Trump playbook.
Rather than threatening our allies like a bully—which will only push them toward China or the EU—the President should work with them like an adult!
So, Mexico has agreed to do what it is already doing?

Even the President and the richest man in the world do not have the authority to unilaterally shut down a congressionally created agency.
It’s about time Republicans in Congress joined Democrats to put an end to this lawlessness!

Allowing an unelected billionaire to access sensitive information, including Americans' Social Security numbers & banking information, is a recipe for disaster.
This is another power grab by the richest man in the world—and it can’t be allowed to continue.

Tonight, President Trump plans to enact tariffs on two of our allies and largest trading partners—which will result in higher costs for American families across the country.
I urge him to reconsider before the economic carnage damages our communities.
85 years ago, the first #SocialSecurity check was issued, providing a lifeline and economic security to millions of American families.
As a lifelong supporter, I’ll continue fighting to defend and expand these benefits that Americans have earned through a lifetime of hard work!
As the 2026 World Cup quickly approaches, I’ve teamed up with lawmakers from communities across the country who to call on Congress to provide $625 million in federal investments to support security needs in the 11 host cities.

Thankful to Governor Kehoe for promising $40 million to support 2026 World Cup operations in Kansas City.
Now, it’s time for Congress to join the effort and provide funding that will ensure a safe, secure, and successful tournament nationwide.

As victims are still being recovered from America’s worst aviation disaster in over a decade, President Trump is politicizing the tragedy that happened under his watch, while making up racist lies and undermining the investigation.
It’s divisive, dangerous, and appalling.
To fund more tax cuts for billionaires, the GOP is working to add unnecessary red tape to make it harder for the most vulnerable Americans to access healthcare & nutrition programs.
Studies have shown it won't increase employment—but it will devastate families.

I’m heartbroken by the horrific mid-air collision near Reagan National Airport last night.
As first responders continue recovery efforts, my prayers are with the victims, their families, and the communities that will be devastated by this tragedy.
The American people are sick and tired of billionaires bending policies in ways that will further enrich themselves at the expense of workers and communities across the country.
Instead of taking them on, President Trump is letting them run the show.

As the President sows mass chaos and confusion with his unconstitutional executive orders, I will continue to push back against his extreme effort to defund everything from community health centers to veteran support programs.

Happy Lunar New Year to all those celebrating in #MO05 and around the world!
As we welcome the new year, I wish all those who celebrate a year of good health, happiness, and prosperity!
Hardworking Missourians and local small businesses deserve to know whether they will be impacted as projects are delayed while this executive order is adjudicated in court.

Today, I joined @hoyer.house.gov and more than 150 @housedemocrats.bsky.social in demanding to know which local projects will be stalled due to President Trump’s unconstitutional executive order to withhold federal funding from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and Inflation Reduction Act.
From loans for local small businesses to federal grants for cancer research, President Trump is unconstitutionally trying to withhold all federal funding and usurp the power of the purse.
This executive order is as unconstitutional as it is damaging to our communities.
The American people are clamoring for bipartisan reforms that will expand access to affordable housing.
Honored to join the Bipartisan Policy Center's Honorary Congressional Council as we seek to break congressional gridlock and lower housing costs For The People!
