That’s why I’m proud to co-sponsor @vanhollen.senate.gov and @reppaultonko.bsky.social’s Power for the People Act, which ensures our neighbors are not footing the cost for data center development with their energy bills.

I hear from neighbors every day that the cost of living is just too high – especially with skyrocketing costs from the President’s reckless war in Iran. American families deserve policies that actually hold corporations accountable and make life more affordable.
The evening was made distinctly special by celebrating with their families and adorably proud children. Thank you for your tireless work and sacrifices that make our communities safer and stronger. Congratulations!
For these brave men and women, serving our neighbors in need is not just a job; it is a life choice that comes with many sacrifices, late nights, overtime, and putting oneself in harm's way for the greater good.
There’s a whole lot of divisiveness in the world right now - which is why I was particularly grateful to spend an evening celebrating our first responders, those moving up in their careers to those retiring after decades of selfless service, at the Annapolis Police Department Promotion Ceremony.
While Congress has taken action to ease the burden, the President must restore this crucial program that supports our veterans and ensures they can live with the dignity and security they deserve.
Home ownership is already out of reach for far too many Americans. We should not be making it more difficult for the men and women who have bravely served our country.
Last year, the Trump Administration cancelled a crucial VA home loan program, and since then, 10,000+ veterans who would have been eligible for this program have lost their homes to foreclosure. This has resulted in the highest foreclosure rate for VA loans in a decade.
I’m grateful for the discussion and the real deliverables that my office can support to ensure everyone in our community can practice their religion with dignity, safety, and tolerance.
This week, I sat down with members of the Foundation and members of Idara-e-Jaferia located in Burtonsville to discuss local safety and security concerns for Shia Muslim community members, particularly in light of growing Islamophobia and the war in Iran.
Founded in 2020, the Shia Muslim Foundation has been a fierce advocate for the rights of Shia Muslims both at home and abroad.
Sailing on the Severn River, enjoying Boatyard’s charm, working at the @jhuapl.bsky.social: just a few awesome ties to Maryland’s Third District for Artemis II astronaut Christine Koch! Maryland proud!

That’s why I’m excited to announce that we’re back with another telephone town hall on Tuesday, April 21st at 6:30 PM. You can sign up at the link below to receive a phone call and join the conversation! 📞

Since taking office, my team and I have hosted 23 town halls – from large in-person town halls, conversations at local libraries, to telephone town halls – and the highlight of every one is hearing from you!
We must hold this agency to their word to ensure people are treated with dignity and respect – and we will not stop until every question is answered.
If my office can ever be of assistance with ICE or any federal agency, you can always speak to a member of my team at (410) 832-8890.
My team and I continue to follow up on the pressing concerns I’ve heard from you, including: access to an attorney, access to medication and menstrual products, health and safety concerns, detaining people with no criminal records, and so much more.
As your member of Congress, I am committed to conducting oversight of federal agencies on your behalf. I’ve toured and met with officers at the Baltimore ICE Facility three times.
This reopening was years in the making & a collaborative Team Maryland effort to fund the needed renovations without displacing residents. As I said at the celebration: Congress is hard, but renovating a building from the 1960s with seniors still in place is harder. Congratulations & welcome home!
As housing remains the highest cost for Maryland families, I’ve worked for the last 7 years with the Housing Authority of the City of Annapolis to find real solutions & was thrilled to join state & local leaders for the ribbon cutting of the renovated Morris H. Blum Senior Apartments in Annapolis!
Seniors deserve to age in place with dignified, quality, affordable housing in the communities they’ve worked and lived their entire lives.
