If my office can ever be of assistance with an immigration agency, if you or your family have been impacted by the President’s weaponization of ICE, you can always speak to a member of my team at (410) 832-8890.

Whether it’s supporting legislation to demand greater oversight of immigration enforcement officers or personally conducting oversight at the ICE Facility in Baltimore, I’m committed to taking every action possible to ensure the safety of our neighbors.
Thank you to the 2,400+ Marylanders who joined my first telephone town hall of the new year! Knowing what issues matter to you always helps inform my work here in Washington. Even if you weren’t able to join us, we’ll be hosting more live conversations and in-person town halls soon. Stay tuned!
We’re only one hour away from my telephone town hall, and my team and I are fueling up with some pizza! 🍕 Make sure to dial (833) 380-0677 at 7:30 to be part of the conversation. Hope to hear from you soon!
If we can help with an issue involving the IRS, the Small Business Administration, Social Security, or any federal agency, please don’t hesitate to reach out at (410) 832-8890.
It was a privilege to speak at this year’s breakfast before heading to the Hill this week, share a report on the good, bad, and ugly of Washington, and make sure folks know my office is always here to aid the business community and all neighbors.
No one has been immune from the recent chaos of Washington - unpredictable tariffs, historic cuts to healthcare funding, and the loss of tens of thousands of federal direct jobs and contractor work have all impacted our community.
I’ve attended the Anne Arundel County Chamber of Commerce’s annual Legislative Breakfast for the last decade, listening to and learning the challenges and opportunities facing the business community.
These are not easy times, but it is all of you who give me hope during the darkest of days. Thank you to @indivisiblehocomd.bsky.social for the fast, on-the-ground organizing. Please continue to lean in, show up, and speak up for our neighbors. It is the only way forward.
At a time when the American people are demanding full accountability and real checks and balances, it has become abundantly clear that the Republican majority in Congress has abdicated all oversight responsibilities and turned a blind eye to the weaponization of ICE by this President.
➡️ I’ve co-sponsored legislation to require greater oversight of immigration enforcement officers, including body cameras and greater accountability to Congress.
➡️ I will vote NO on blank checks for DHS and ICE.
Here’s what Democrats are doing to fight back:
➡️ I’ve joined my colleagues in Congress to demand answers from DHS and ICE and a complete and credible investigation of Good’s death.
Today, I joined neighbors in Howard County to mourn the killing of wife and mother, Renee Good, and send a clear message: ICE has no place in our neighborhoods.
This win is also critical because folks the President attempted in his first term to completely zero-out the Bay Program’s budget. Hard work and persistent advocacy by folks within the Bay watershed have paid off!
The investments we make today – in combating pollution, preserving water quality, and protecting against invasive species – will ensure that future generations can enjoy the Bay for many years to come.
Good news for the Bay: The House has passed $93 million in Chesapeake Bay Program funding and millions more in funding for other critical federal programs that support the health of the Chesapeake Bay!
My first telephone town hall of the year is happening TOMORROW, January 12th at 7:30 PM! 📞 You can call in to ask your questions live by dialing 833-380-0677 or you can sign-up to listen in at the link below – come prepared with your questions, & be part of the conversation.

This week, the House passed $10 million for #MD03! But, how does that money reach our District, and what does it fund? That’s today’s topic of Sarah Explains It All.
I sat down with the new Bay Program Director Dan Coogan & Regional Administrator Amy Van Blarcom-Lackey to discuss the Beyond 2025 Bay Agreement, strategies to combat invasive species like the blue catfish, & ways we can work together to support the health & habitat of the Bay across the watershed.
For the past 43 years, the EPA and the Chesapeake Bay Program Office have been crucial partners in upholding the Chesapeake Bay Agreement to ensure the conservation, restoration, and protection of one of our community’s most vital resources.
