President Trump’s reckless tariffs constitute the largest tax increases in our history.
By voting to end his authority to impose costly tariffs on Canada, Congress finally took an important step toward reasserting our authority and making life more affordable.

Last week, #TeamTX07 was sharing the love, delivering #ValentinesForVeterans at the Houston West, Sugar Land, and Richmond VA Clinics and at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center.
Thank you to all the classrooms, kids, and families who helped send love to Houston's veterans again this year!
Great to kick off the Year of the Fire Horse with our #TX07 neighbors at the Chinese Community Center! 🐎 Happy Lunar New Year!
Rescinding the endangerment finding will undermine the good work of Houstonians to reduce emissions.
It is another step in the wrong direction from the Trump administration.

Happy Year of the Fire Horse to all celebrating this lunar new year! ✨🔥🐎 I am wishing those in #TX07 and beyond strength, courage, and independence in the eventful year ahead.
It's a good day to read George Washington's Farewell address. Its message is as important to us today as it was when it was first delivered in 1796.
This #PresidentsDay, I'm thinking of some of our greatest presidents, Washington and Lincoln, who shaped our union and fought for its promise to "Friends and Citizens" of a government "of the people, by the people, for the people," not kings.
We don't have to accept either, and I joined @raskin.house.gov in objecting. [2/2]
The Kennedy Center is a living memorial to President Kennedy.
Trump's announcement that it will also bear his name (in violation of the law establishing it) and that it will be closed for two years (for unidentified repairs) show the narcissism and lawlessness that define this Presidency. [1/2]
That's why Harris County is suing — not for politics, but for principle — and why I am glad to join @repcleaver.bsky.social and @whitehouse.senate.gov in this effort to support Harris County. [3/4]
Congress established the Solar for All program.
Congress appropriated the funds for it.
No president or political appointee can unilaterally eliminate a program Congress has created. [2/4]
Solar for All is one of the most important affordable energy programs in our country’s history. The Trump administration’s decision to terminate Solar for All was not just reckless — it was unlawful. [1/4]
The State Department's new guidance to classify abortion as a human rights abuse undermines U.S. leadership on human rights and further erodes access to reproductive care across the world.
I joined @repnikema.bsky.social and @ocasio-cortez.house.gov in demanding that it reverse this guidance.

The Trump administration is sending all pregnant unaccompanied minors apprehended by immigration enforcement to a single group shelter in South Texas. This is a sharp turn from longstanding federal practice, which placed them in shelters or foster homes equipped to handle high-risk pregnancies.
We're seeing the impact—in real time—of what Congressional Republicans' cuts to Medicaid and failure to extend ACA tax credits are doing to the whole health care ecosystem. It's not good.

Good to chat with Barbara Schwarz about my bill to freeze hiring at ICE until there is accountability, transparency, and procedural reform to ensure the safety of the American people.

At the urging of my office, the FAA is rightfully lifting the Temporary Restricted Airspace.
I will again reiterate there is no threat to El Paso or the surrounding areas.

Alignment stats consider only votes where a clear yes/no majority existed for the legislator's party. Cross-party marks divergence where the vote matched the opposite party majority. ↔ indicates cross-party divergence.
