The genocide has not ended. The Israeli military has not stopped dropping US-made bombs in Palestine, murdering Palestinian children. We can’t trust Netanyahu and Trump to pursue peace, self determination, and security in the region. Congress must act. Let's pass my Block the Bombs Act.
Gaza health officials say an Israeli strike on the municipal police headquarters in Gaza City killed nine people including a child on Wednesday, while the Israeli military said it had targeted a Hamas commander u.afp.com/SHCK
I went to one of the worst ICE Detention Centers in the country with @jayapal.house.gov, @hankjohnson.house.gov, @repnikema.bsky.social, & @foushee.house.gov. ICE is using your taxpayer dollars to mistreat people who shouldn't even be detained in the first place. We cannot allow a facility in NC.
I had the pleasure of meeting with @bread4theworld.bsky.social to discuss how Congress can take steps to end hunger across the nation. Access to food is a human right and I will continue to fight back against cuts to food assistance programs to ensure that every family can put food on the table.
Israel's genocide continues to claim the lives of civilians and is leading to the destruction of critical medical facilities in Gaza. Congress has a duty to take steps to ensure that our taxpayer dollars are not contributing to this crisis in any way.
I continue to call on Congress to pass the Melt ICE Act to strip ICE of its authority to detain and surveil. This bill will deal a crushing blow to ICE while rerouting funding to our communities—Congress must take it up immediately.
I’m proud to share that my office has helped return over $6 million to residents of #NC04 through casework! As always, if you are having issues with a federal agency, don’t hesitate to give my office a call at 919-967-7924 for assistance.
