I was proud to work closely with the Authors Guild when introducing the Protecting Consumers from Deceptive AI Act to mandate watermarks on generative AI—and I look forward to continuing working together to protect Americans from the harms of AI.
AI chatbots are putting the lives of children across the country at risk right now. Congress must establish criminal penalties immediately for companies that allow children to access harmful content through these chatbots.
I had the pleasure of meeting with NC Licensed Child Care Association President Dan Rockway to discuss the importance of keeping our federal childcare programs properly funded in the face of this Administration’s cuts to public services.
It should anger every single American that our government is spending our taxpayer dollars to support Israel’s strikes on civilians in Lebanon, a war with Iran that has claimed the lives of thousands, and the continued indiscriminate killing of Palestinians.
I’m headed to the House floor to vote in favor of passing a War Powers Resolution to stop Trump’s war in Iran. With the Senate beginning to advance a War Powers Resolution of their own this week, this is a critical opportunity for us to take steps to stop the killing of innocent civilians in Iran.
The GOP’s attempts to distract Americans from their incompetent governance means they’re now delegitimizing student’s identities and punishing schools for their acceptance. Trans students make up 1% of the student population in the United States and deserve civil rights like every other student.
I’m proud to be one of 17 House cosponsors of @repsummerlee.bsky.social’s Abolish Super PACs Act. Billionaires and corporations do not have the interests of working-class Americans in mind, and they cannot be allowed to continue to buy our elections.
Super PACs are allowing billionaires and special interests to spend limitless money to buy candidates and our democracy. We must abolish them. Proud to be the lead sponsor of the Abolish Super PACs Act in the House and am grateful to @sanders.senate.gov for his leadership in the Senate.
As the Ranking Member of the House, Science, Space, and Technology Subcommittee, I am proud to help lead this resolution and will continue to fight to ensure women are properly recognized for their contributions to our nation.
May 20th marks the anniversary of Amelia Earhart’s historic transatlantic flight—a moment that serves as a reminder of the women who made history, and an inspiration to the women and girls who will shape the future of aerospace.
