House Republicans are pushing a funding bill that slashes nearly $23 billion from veterans’ benefits, puts affordable housing for thousands at risk, and guts essential healthcare programs. All so they can hand out more tax breaks to the wealthy. We see right through this. ⬇️
Tax season is now – and there’s a better way to do your taxes this year thanks to IRS #DirectFile. This simple, secure, and always FREE tool is available to tax filers in 25 states. Head to directfile.irs.gov to see if you are eligible. Save time, money, and headaches this tax season.
Standing with my @demwomencaucus.bsky.social colleagues to oppose President Trump's policies that prioritize tax cuts for billionaires over the well-being of women and families. We say NO to this betrayal.
Dreamers like Ricardo from Texas make our communities stronger. As the first in his family to graduate college, grad school, and law school, he’s now juggling two jobs while studying for the bar exam. His dedication and work ethic embody the American Dream. #HomeIsHere
Dreamers like Gloria from Texas are our friends and neighbors. She’s using her story to educate others about our broken immigration system and inspire change. Dreamers make our communities stronger—it’s time to protect them. #HomeIsHere
Dreamers like Victoria Elizondo from TX-29 are an important part of our community. As a restaurant owner in Houston’s East End and a James Beard Award nominee, she represents the hard work and talent that make our district stronger. #HomeIsHere
Social Security isn’t just for seniors—over 90,000 people in TX-29 depend on it for food, stability, and security. These are earned benefits, not giveaways. House Democrats are fighting to protect Social Security for every worker who has paid into it—now and for future generations.
I proudly introduced the American Dream and Promise Act today because Dreamers are America. They strengthen our communities, contribute every day, and deserve permanent protections. #HomeIsHere
TPS and DED recipients are essential to our communities. They’re business owners, essential workers, and neighbors who have built their lives here. I’m fighting for these hardworking individuals who contribute so much to our nation. #HomeIsHere
Thank you, @attorneymartinez.bsky.social, for joining me today as we take the first step toward securing a pathway to citizenship for Dreamers, TPS recipients, and DED holders. America stands with Dreamers, and I’m grateful to have you by my side in this fight! #HomeIsHere
The #EqualityAct would explicitly protect LGBTQI+ Americans from discrimination under federal civil rights law. As a member of the @equality.house.gov, I'm celebrating 4 years since we last passed the Equality Act—and counting down the days until we pass it into law.
Standing strong with my House Democratic colleagues to oppose the reckless Republican budget. Their plan guts Medicaid, hurts seniors and families, and rewards the wealthy—while millions struggle to get by. We’re united in saying: Not on our watch.
