All who care about decency, humanity, this great Republic, our democracy, freedom of religion, and the right for all Americans to be treated equally should speak out immediately against these dangerous assaults.
I really want to be talking about immigration, inflation, the cost of housing or healthcare, but once again I must speak out about certain Republicans’ hatred of minority groups. Because we cannot ignore this.
Anti-Muslim speech is hate speech. I reject it and Islamophobia in all forms.
Senior White House Advisor Kari Lake is gutting the U.S. Agency for Global Media, a nonpartisan federal agency which helps to provide objective news and cultural programs to people living under oppressive regimes across the world.
To be continued…
President Trump is continuing to compile a “master-list” of personal information on millions of U.S. residents including the Social Security numbers, addresses, and dates of birth of anyone who applied for SNAP in the last five years and millions of Medicaid recipients.
His Admin plans to withhold or cancel billions of dollars of Congressionally approved spending that is required to be spent by the end of this Fiscal Year and R's in Congress proposed cutting the Government Accountability Office – the agency tasked with investigating federal budget law violations
The Supreme Court ruled that the Trump Admin is allowed to continue deporting migrants to countries that are NOT they aren’t from, to be incarcerated indefinitely and funded with American taxpayer dollars. The statement from the Department of Homeland Security: “Fire up the deportation planes.”
President Trump put American lives at risk by bombing Iran, a country we are not at war with, without the approval of Congress. Now he’s trying to limit Congress’ ability to conduct oversight by limiting our access to classified information.
Law(less) + (Dis)Order(ly) Episode 19
None of these actions make us safer or more prosperous, but here are some of the things the Trump Administration delivered this week:
Too often, clinical trials are a financial burden on people searching for lifesaving treatment. I am proud to bring this legislation forward in Harley’s memory.

Today I introduced the Harley Jacobsen Clinical Trial Participant Income Exemption Act, along with my Republican colleague Mike Kelly. This legislation would allow payments received by participants in clinical trials to be tax-exempt.
While there is work still to be done, it is also important to celebrate our victories. Let us continue to push for equality in all aspects of life. Happy #EqualityDay!
Ten years ago today, the Supreme Court affirmed equal dignity under the law by legalizing same-sex marriage. The landmark #Obergefell decision recognized families that existed for decades and paved the way for new marriages, couples and families to begin.
My Democratic colleagues on the House Intelligence Committee, the House Armed Services Committee, and I will work to hold the line against this latest attack on the legislative branch.
Even so, limiting intelligence sharing with Congress is a mistake. It prevents us from being able to do our jobs and blocks our Constitutional responsibility to serve as a check on the executive branch–which is obviously the goal of the Trump Administration.
I have long maintained that Members of Congress need specialized training on how to handle classified materials. For reference: we currently receive none.

These polls absolutely reflect the calls and messages coming into my office: people are against this big, ugly bill.
It’s bad for Pennsylvanians, bad for our economy and our national debt, bad for middle class Americans.

Removing access to lifesaving resources for LGBT Americans is a pointless act of cruelty. Every life is worth living, every person is worth saving.
The general 988 Hotline is still active–please call if you or a loved one needs mental health support.
Three years ago, Roe v. Wade was overturned with the Supreme Court’s #Dobbs Decision.
Today and every day, I will continue the fight to protect and restore reproductive rights for all women.
