This violence is unacceptable. I condemn the horrific attack in Pahalgam, India that took the lives of innocent civilians and injured many more. My heart goes out to the victims, their families, and all those impacted by this tragedy.

Trump claims his administration is cutting waste, fraud, and abuse — but what he’s REALLY doing is cutting essential funding for disaster preparedness.
This will cost lives across our state. www.seattletimes.com/seattle-news...
Only 1.4% of kids are trans. Yet Republicans have made it their mission to try and bully this population out of existence by telling them they don’t belong.
It’s absolutely shameful. I will ALWAYS stand up for trans kids.
Fire Pete Hegseth.
Today is Earth Day.
97% of scientists believe in climate change.
72% of Americans believe in climate change.
But Donald Trump calls climate change a “hoax” — and he’s destroying our planet just to make his Big Oil buddies even richer.
Mahmoud Khalil missed the birth of his first child because Donald Trump is holding him in jail for constitutionally protected speech.
This is cruel beyond belief. I continue to stand with Mahmoud and his family and will keep fighting to bring him home. www.npr.org/2025/04/21/n...
Happy Earth Day! I’m so grateful to represent a district and state with so much natural beauty.
As this administration takes a chainsaw to environmental programs, we must recommit ourselves to doing everything we can to stand up and protect our planet and our people.
REMINDER: Donald Trump’s number one priority, above anything else, is giving himself and his billionaire buddies a $4.5 trillion tax cut.
Nothing for you and your family. Everything for himself.
As Trump weaponizes every part of the government against immigrants, he’s taking resources away from things that really matter.
Crime prevention. Counterterrorism. Drug interdiction. All being ignored because Trump wants to vilify LEGAL immigrants and turn us against each other.
The fear that our trans loved ones are experiencing due to the actions of this administration is very real.
To our trans communities: I hear you, I see you, and I will ALWAYS stand up for you.
To all those celebrating, I wish you a joyous and cheerful Easter surrounded by loved ones!
SCOTUS ruled that Trump had to give people adequate notice before deporting them.
Yet today, there are reports that he's deporting 177 immigrants with under 24 hours' notice—not enough time to assert due process. We cannot stand by as this admin continues to disappear people.
In this moment, it is more important than ever to listen to the uncomfortable stories, to feel people's pain, and to gather our strength to resist.
We must lead with our humanity to protect vulnerable people across the country.
Clayton is a manager at an Albertsons-owned Safeway in Washington. He knows how corporate mergers hurt Americans and how giant companies spend billions on stock buybacks instead of focusing on their workers and consumers.
He knows it’s time for Congress to take on corporate greed and win.
Trump is now threatening to stop Harvard from enrolling international students unless they hand over sensitive student data.
This is authoritarianism, plain and simple.

ICYMI: Trump is going after students across the country.
These students were on VALID visas. Revoking them is unacceptable.

Trump is blackmailing local governments — telling them that if they don’t comply with his cruel and sometimes illegal immigration policies, he’ll cut off their funding.
That’s bad for democracy and hurts every single American.
Trump is cutting NOAA’s budget by a whopping 27% — which would fully eliminate salmon recovery programs.
This would be a major blow to our region’s ecosystem, including the protection of killer whales. This is absolutely unacceptable.

BIPOC women are significantly more likely to die due to pregnancy-related health complications. We cannot let more mothers become statistics — we must work to improve our health care systems to protect mothers and families.
I’m honored to have a beautiful portrait of Stephanie Snook at my office to raise awareness of maternal health — as a tragic reminder that she should be alive today.
