I was proud to join @booker.senate.gov & @hakeem-jeffries.bsky.social on the Capitol steps — and even more encouraged to see the crowd that gathered.
Trump's budget to cut $880 billion from Medicaid will have real consequences and hurt real people.
Keep speaking up and speaking out.
Congratulations, @durbin.senate.gov, on nearly 30 years of public service.
Your legacy will reverberate throughout Illinois and the country. I wish you, Loretta, and your family all the best.
Happy Easter to all who celebrate in the Second District!
I hope your day is full of joy with loved ones — and maybe an egg hunt or two.
As Black Maternal Health Week comes to the end, the fight to save Black mothers continues.
Emergency operators help callers in violent and disturbing situations – but after the call is over, operators themselves don't receive the mental health support and resources they need.
I introduced bipartisan legislation to fix that:

I saw the lifesaving work of 911 operators at SouthCom Dispatch Center in Matteson today.
We need to take care of our 911 operators, especially as the Trump admin continues to slash people’s healthcare and mental health programs.
The American people are engaged and speaking out — and I’m listening to them.
I hosted a town hall last night in Pontiac to hear my constituents’ questions about the Farm Bill, public education, and the direction of our democracy.
I’m bringing their concerns back to DC.
Students evacuated Florida State University today with hands above their heads in response to an active shooter.
My heart is with the FSU community as we continue to learn more.
I will never accept gun violence as normal. Enough is enough.
For every meal food banks provide, SNAP provides 9 meals—but Republicans want to cut SNAP by $230 billion.
I toured Free-N-Deed Market, a food pantry in Dolton, to hear how they’d be affected by SNAP cuts.
I’m passing on their message to Republicans: SNAP is essential to putting food on the table.
Tonight, I’m hosting a telephone town hall to hear constituents’ concerns about Social Security and provide updates on what @housedemocrats.bsky.social are doing to stop them.
You can tune in live on my Facebook at 8 p.m. CT: www.facebook.com/reprobinkelly
I’m not going to let the richest man in the world take away your Social Security.
Donald Trump needs to bring Kilmar Abrego Garcia home.
Chag Pesach Sameach to all celebrating in the Second District.
As people across the world gather with their loved ones around the Seder table, may we be inspired by the strength of the Jewish people and their fight for freedom.
Twelve years ago today, I took my first Oath of Office to serve the Second District.
It’s still the best job I’ve ever had.
Then and now, I promise to always put my constituents first.
Republican leadership told their members not to host town hall.
That’s not right.
I’m hosting a town hall in Pontiac — right on the border of my district and Rep. Darin LaHood’s — so everyone can be heard.
See you there: forms.gle/HKcGGHnx8Kpb...
I’m touring the District to hear directly from YOU in a series of town halls.
Next Wednesday, I’ll be in Pontiac to listen to your concerns and answer your questions. Ed Yohnka with ACLU of Illinois will also join us.
See you there!

Republicans just passed a budget that:
❌Cuts Medicaid by $880 billion
❌Cuts food aid by $230 billion
💸Gives top 0.1% a $314,266 annual tax cut
📈Raises debt limit by $5 trillion
They voted to enrich themselves, decimate our economy, and steal from hardworking Americans.
This morning, Republicans will push the “SAVE” Act, which requires a passport or a birth certificate with a photo ID to vote.
It would disenfranchise 2.5 million women in Illinois — because their married name would not match their birth certificate.
This is voter suppression, plain and simple.
By naming U.S. Army Secretary Daniel Driscoll to also lead the ATF, President Trump continues to militarize our law enforcement.

The Trump administration is playing musical chairs with the department in charge of enforcing gun safety laws.
The ATF needs a director dedicated to the job — not someone who will split time with another job.
Kash Patel removed as acting ATF director, replaced by Army Secretary, sources say - www.reuters.com/world/us/kas... @sarahnlynch.bsky.social

Alignment stats consider only votes where a clear yes/no majority existed for the legislator's party. Cross-party marks divergence where the vote matched the opposite party majority. ↔ indicates cross-party divergence.
