Went to two grocery stores today to get eggs. Neither had any. What are the Administration and Republicans doing about rising egg prices and the lack of eggs? NOTHING. In fact, the Administration is making things worse by firing inspectors and scientists working on bird flu.
Trump is failing. -Dow Jones dropped again -Consumer sentiment is down -Egg prices are up Trump’s indiscriminate tariffs and his firing of scientists working on bird flu are harming America and increasing the risk of recession. #TrumpSlump
The Dow dropped another 890 points today. Trump’s harmful policies—such as indiscriminate tariffs and firing scientists and inspectors working on bird flu—are increasing the risks of recession. Worst stock market performance in a president’s first 50 days since 2009.
UPDATE: Major stock indexes continue to tank Monday, with the Dow Jones falling over 1,000 points and continuing a sell-off that gathered steam last week.
Honored to join Rep Lloyd Doggett and the fantastic members of the Travis County Democratic Party in Austin, TX! Organize, show up, speak up: that’s how we fight back and win.
Honored to speak at a huge rally in Austin with Rep Doggett, Rep Casar and Sen Warren to fight back against the batshit crazy actions of the Trump Administration. Thank you to Reps Doggett and Casar for mobilizing so many Americans. This is how we win. We will never bow down.
Trump lied to you. He promised a golden age. Instead, we are entering a #TrumpSlump: -Inflation is up. -Consumer sentiment is down. -The unemployment rate increased. How does Trump trying to rename the Gulf of Mexico lower the price of eggs? It doesn’t.
This morning's jobs report shows that the U.S. economy added just 151,000 jobs last month, falling below expectations. The report also contains more warning signs for the future.
Trump promised a golden age. He lied to you. We are entering a #TrumpSlump: -Inflation is up. -Consumer sentiment is down. -The markets are tanking. Trump’s repeated flip flops on imposing indiscriminate tariffs shows weakness and indecision, and sows chaos.
Trump promised a golden age. He lied to you. And he will lie again tonight. The indiscriminate #TrumpTariffs on Canada and Mexico are increasing consumer prices, tanking the markets, and slowing down the economy. Trump is increasing the risk of #stagflation. #TrumpSlump
Trump promised a golden age. He lied to you. We are entering a #TrumpSlump: -Inflation is up. -Consumer sentiment is down. -The market is tanking, with the Dow Jones dropping more than 1,300 points this week based on Trump’s indiscriminate tariffs against Mexico and Canada.
An unvaccinated child died from measles during an outbreak in West Texas. This was completely preventable. The laws of biology and chemistry don’t care about your ideology, your party or what your cousin’s friend said on social media. Ignore science and bad things happen.
Breaking News: An unvaccinated child died of measles in Texas, officials said, the first known death from an outbreak that began in January.
Trumponomics sucks: -Inflation is up -Consumer sentiment is down -Medicaid will get destroyed This is not what the American people voted for.
Why are Trump’s numbers free falling? Because Trumponomics sucks. His tariffs are increasing prices. Firing people working on bird flu will make eggs more expensive. GOP budget cuts $880 BILLION of Medicaid & hurts the middle class—all so billionaires get richer. Democrats are standing up.

Trump believes the chaos he is causing is popular. He is wrong. In less than a month, Trump’s approval / disapproval ratings have reversed and a majority of Americans now disapprove of his job performance. Trump’s actions are hurting Americans and increasing prices.
With Rep Maxine Waters today speaking out about the Trump chaos that is harming our economy and our democracy. Also, the proposed GOP budget makes draconian cuts to health care in order to give trillions in tax breaks to billionaires. I will be a hell no vote on this GOP budget.
7 years ago today was the mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida. My wife and I joined Rep Jared Moskowitz at today’s event to honor first responders and remember the 17 beautiful lives taken far too soon.
The Trump Administration and Republicans in Congress have caused a lot of chaos, but done nothing to lower costs. Egg prices continue to soar. I recently went grocery shopping and not only were egg prices between $7.99 and $12.79, but there were no eggs. The shelves were empty.
