Thank you to everyone who joined us at our VA Intake Day at Flanders Field VFW Post #150 in Corona!
#ICYMI my team & I are always here to help veterans & families with VA benefits, military records, service medals, & more. Give my office a call at (718) 358-MENG.
100 days in & the Administration is still withholding $430 BILLION from the American people.
This is funding for families, schools, & small businesses in communities like Queens.
Instead of reducing costs, they are withholding federal dollars hardworking Americans rely on👇
Small businesses are the backbone of our economy in Queens. I'm always looking to make sure they have the tools they need to grow & thrive right in our community.
Thank you to all the small business owners who joined me to commemorate the Queens Chamber of Commerce's Help Desk, a vital resource launched with the $1 million I secured for it!
Every federal dollar invested in scientific research returns at least $5 in economic gains.
The Administration's cuts to the NSF & NIH will undermine US innovation, shortchange our economy, and leave our communities less healthy for decades to come.
⚠️SCAM ALERT: Officials are sounding the alarm on a new scam targeting older Americans by posing as the Social Security Administration & including a false link to your Social Security statement.
As always, stay vigilant & protect your loved ones.

We cannot afford any more cuts our scientific community.
The Administration must reverse course, allow NASA to continue its work here in NYC without disruption, & perhaps find them a new home in Queens.
NASA has had a home in New York since 1961. Not only is this the iconic restaurant from Seinfeld, but it's been NASA's NYC home for over 60 years! Terminating this lease could disrupt important research supporting space exploration & its work with colleges & universities throughout the city.
Family planning & access to contraception saves lives.
Proud to join my @reprocaucus.bsky.social colleagues to urge the Administration to reverse course on its dangerous decision to eliminate all global family planning programs
REMINDER: VA Intake Day
My team and I are hosting a VA intake day TOMORROW, 10am-2pm, at Flanders Field VFW Post #150 in Corona! Representatives from the VA will be available to assist with VA claims & answer questions about your VA benefits.
To RSVP, reach out to my office at (718) 358-6364.
On the 110th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, we remember & honor the lives of more than 1.5M innocent Armenians murdered in its wake. As a proud supporter of the Armenian Genocide Education Act, I am committed to recognition, education, & prevention to assure this crime never happens again.

Grocery prices are already too high, and the President hasn’t done anything to help.
Americans need relief.
On today’s Democratic Daily Download, @meng.house.gov talks about how the Trump Administration’s policies are only making it more difficult for hardworking families to make ends meet.
Year after year, communities across the nation experience the terror and tragedy of gun violence and the opioid epidemic.
Rather than helping them recover and prevent these unthinkable losses, the administration is choosing to cut grants that fund programs doing just that.
On Yom HaShoah, Holocaust Remembrance Day, we pay tribute to the six million Jews killed during the Holocaust.
We must honor their memory by standing up to antisemitism each time we are confronted with it.
My heart breaks for those murdered and injured during the brutal attack in Kashmir. I strongly condemn this act of terrorism. My thoughts are with all the families who are impacted by this unthinkable violence.

To protect yourself from schemers and scammers, always shred any documents containing sensitive information before recycling them.
Great to see so many residents at AARP New York's Big Shred even in Queens! Protecting people from identity theft and other types of scams is a priority in our community, and that starts with properly disposing of documents containing personal information.
Meanwhile, scores of employees who would have helped borrowers transition into repayment have been fired from the U.S. Department of Education.
Make it make sense.
Costs are rising & our economy is spiraling.
Rather than finding ways to support hardworking families, the Administration is sending millions of them to collections.
