On #LaborDay we remember the generations of union workers who fought for fair wages, safety, and dignity on the job. I will continue to stand with members of organized labor today and everyday in the fight for superior working conditions across our region. #Solidarity

Jake, a senior at EC Central High School with a 3.5 GPA, dreams of going to college to earn a Business degree. His Medicaid waiver provides the wraparound services he needs to succeed - services now at risk. I’m fighting for Jake, his healthcare, and his future.
You can run but you cannot hide from the American voters. I will continue to speak with constituents about the issues impacting our communities so I can fight for our region in Congress.

Thank you to all residents who were able to join our Community Conversation in Portage earlier today. I’m grateful for this opportunity to hear from constituents, and I look forward to taking your concerns back to DC to fight for our region.
As we celebrate the 105th anniversary of the 19th Amendment granting women the right to vote, our fight for equality continues. From equal pay to reproductive rights, we must ensure that women have the right to make their own decisions about their bodies, futures, and economic opportunities.
On the 109th anniversary of the National Park Service, our region is grateful for the dedicated staff, resources, and opportunities provided by Indiana Dunes National Park, which continues to enrich our communities and strengthen our economy.
Honored to attend the Laborers' Local 81 event recently in Valparaiso and present an American flag that was flown over the U.S. Capitol Building in memory of Zachary Brown and his service to organized labor.
I look forward to continuing to work with the members of the Congressional Steel Caucus to uphold the Section 232 program and ensure that the American steel industry can compete on a level playing field.

I am thrilled to announce that the 2025 Congressional App Challenge is now open to students attending middle and high school who are interested in coding and technology.
One-power rule and extremism doesn’t get the results that look out for all of the residents of Indiana, and it doesn’t take into account the diversification of beliefs and being able to find the results in the best bipartisan way.

Thank you to the students at Uthiverse in Gary for welcoming me to discuss your new business ventures. I wish you all the best and continued success!
I’ll continue to stand up for American workers, whose livelihoods depend on the full enforcement of our trade regulations.

I submitted testimony to the ITC today because our trade laws are crucial in protecting our thriving steel industry from other countries flooding our markets, pushing workers out of a job, & putting our industries out of production.
This opportunity brings our community together to discuss issues impacting the quality of life in Northwest Indiana, and I intend to take the personal stories in our community back to Washington to fight for our region.
