In this moment, we must reject fear and be the relentless force that ensures justice is not just a promise, but a reality. Our fight continues until ICE and private detention centers are made relics of a dark time in our country’s history.
With over ONE THOUSAND documented instances of ICE using physical force against against detained individuals, ICE has proven - once again - it cannot be reformed. It must be abolished. Close private detention centers. End the violence.
💚Ahead of LSP’s 50th Anniversary, honored to join Sam Pesin, Friends of LSP, Mayor Solomon and so many neighbors to receive an award dedicated to our shared fight for protecting the park. I’ve always fought to protect LSP to ensure it remains a treasured oasis for every family - and I always will.
Thrilled to welcome Sarah and her mom to the Capitol as our Congressional App Challenge Winner! 📲 We're so impressed with her app GreenAI, which provides tools to make sustainability easier and help reduce your carbon footprint. Congrats, Sarah! Your future is so bright.
📍Opening Day for Buddy Baseball! 🫶 ⚾️ What an incredible day in Bayonne celebrating the 11th season of Buddy Baseball! Every season is always a powerful reminder of what inclusion, teamwork, and community can achieve. Grateful to all who made this day possible!
Cutting funding for public broadcasting is a disservice to our community. Our neighbors deserve to stay informed, and we will certainly miss these important conversations.
Today is a sad day as NJ PBS closes its studio doors in Newark. Thank you for being a trusted voice for our communities, providing essential news for so many years and giving me the opportunity to be there in studio on so many occasions.
📍Fighting for our communities on #MayDay in Jersey City 💪Honored to be with our labor leaders to support workers' rights and to speak out against those terrorizing our neighbors.
April was Autism Acceptance Month, but the work continues every day. Just introduced the CARES Hotline Act to create the first-ever national 24/7 hotline for caregivers.
Yesterday’s hearing was an important step forward in passing the Sarah Katz Caffeine Safety Act. The work continues to get the transparency needed to keep our neighbors safe.
We must protect TPS & the families across our communities who make our country stronger every day. My message to the Supreme Court is simple: Uphold the law & protect our neighbors. I will never stop fighting to keep our families safe from Trump’s assault on our communities.
HUGE: More than half of the construction contracts for the Hudson Tunnel are now in progress or finished. We are one step closer to the reliable, modern transit our communities deserve. I’ll keep fighting to ensure this project stays on track and delivers for our residents.
That's why I introduced legislation to create a national task force that would: ✅ Coordinate with all levels of government to catch scammers. ✅ Establish a national strategy to stop scams at the source with banks & social media companies like WhatsApp. ✅ Support victims & help them get justice.
