To every New Jerseyan, near and far: Happy #NationalNewJerseyDay! I’m honored to represent the great Garden State and the community that shaped me every single day. Here’s to all of us building a stronger NJ together. 🫶
📍City of Elizabeth Peterstown Cultural Festival 🎉 Great to celebrate our Italian American community in Peterstown and across the 8th 🇮🇹 Thanks to Mayor Bollwage for showing me around and to the Mazza family for their contributions to this community!
Every day, we fight back against the harmful impact of the Trump Administration’s immigration policies—policies that have spread fear and division in our neighborhoods. These are challenging times, but by standing together, we will persevere.
I want to thank Union County for listening to our community and standing up for what’s right. By rejecting any plan to use the former Union County Jail for ICE or private immigration detention, they showed that we can uphold our values while responsibly managing public resources.
Every day I’m fighting against Trump’s harmful immigration policies. The results of which have already had dire consequences in our district. That’s why I’m moved to speak out against the potential harm of another private detention center opening in the 8th. Read my letter to Union County below 👇
Trump’s AI Action Plan & new executive orders are deeply troubling & undermine responsible AI innovation. My AI Caucus colleagues & I will keep fighting for policies that safeguard AI development & fully leverage the potential of AI for all Americans without giving a handout to Big Tech.
New: Congressional AI Caucus Democrats’ Statement on President Trump’s AI Action Plan and AI Executive Orders @dorismatsui.bsky.social @repbonamici.bsky.social @foushee.house.gov @hankjohnson.house.gov @mcbride.house.gov @repmcgovern.bsky.social @menendez.house.gov beyer.house.gov/news/documen...
Private detention centers don’t reflect the values of our district, our state, or our country. We’re pushing back against the Trump Admin’s plan to detain immigrants at Joint Base McGuire Dix-Lakehurst.
Trump lies. @housedemocrats.bsky.social deliver. We will always fight for all Americans and continue to offer a real path forward that delivers on America’s promise. 👊
Proud to see Hudson County launching the Blue Envelope program to help create safer, more supportive interactions between law enforcement and individuals with autism. Autism awareness must be part of everything we do—especially when it comes to public safety. 👏
Republicans have brought the House to a standstill, canceled votes, and won’t bring us back for weeks. Why? Because they don't want to vote on releasing the Epstein files. House Rs want to make it seem like everything is completely normal. It’s not, and we called them on it.
The Trump Administration officially ended dedicated LGBTQ+ services through 988 last week. To our friends and neighbors who are experiencing a mental health or substance-related crisis: you are not alone, and there are resources available to you.
SNAP and nutrition assistance programs keep food on the table and lifesaving care within reach for thousands of New Jersey families. @housedemocrats.bsky.social won’t stand by while Republicans continue to wage a war on working families and their dignity.
Republicans rolled back ACA support while also cutting Medicaid—& millions of Americans will feel the impact soon. In NJ-08, the average ACA premium increase will be $1,210 next year—forcing families to make impossible choices about their health care. This isn’t just politics, it’s people’s lives.
