House Republicans had another opportunity today to pass a War Powers Resolution. They once again failed to do the right thing. They own this war and all the fallout from it.
📍Visiting the Hoboken Food Pantry at the Hoboken Community Center 🍎 Grateful for all the vital work they do and for our partners and volunteers working tirelessly to keep families fed amid Trump's cuts to SNAP. Every moment spent in our community fuels my fight for you in Washington.
📍Delivering federal funding to North Hudson Regional Fire & Rescue 🙌 Proud to join Chief Donnarumma to announce over $1.4 million in federal funding to modernize our firehouses. I'll always fight in Congress to bring home funding to keep our communities safe.
“My boy is very different. He sees police officers, and he says, ‘It’s ICE, Mommy.’" The Trump Admin isn’t making us safer, they are traumatizing our children and tearing our communities apart. We won’t stop until this national nightmare ends.
My colleague and friend Rep. McIver came to Congress to fight for her constituents, and she has never wavered in doing so. I am proud to stand with her as she fights these politicized charges and am all in until justice is realized.
Fighting this case has been difficult, no doubt about it, but I will not back down and I won’t let it keep me from doing the job I was elected to do: protecting people.
📍Roundtable with Northeast New Jersey Legal Services 🤝 Thankful for all the advocates who gathered today to discuss ways we can deepen our working relationships and better coordinate efforts.
Great to meet with the Bergen Arches team! We’ve fought hard alongside our neighbors to turn these historic structures into green spaces. I look forward to continuing to fight for projects that will connect our community with larger greenway networks.
The "SAVE America Act" is a full-on assault on our elections. Republicans know that if they have to run on their failed policies in free and fair elections, they'd get absolutely smoked.
This is the reality of Trump’s America: a place where dignity and compassion have been cast aside. One day, this will be a relic of a dark chapter in our history. Until then, our fight continues.
My heart is with the families in our community spending this day in the shadow of an immigration system that is beyond repair—especially Pastor Yeison, who should be with his congregation in Elizabeth, not being held in Delaney Hall.
