1/ It’s been 60 years since President Johnson signed Medicare and Medicaid into law—two landmark programs that have empowered working families, older Americans, and our most vulnerable for generations.
3/ I'll continue working collaboratively with the Army Corps and DNREC to ensure this project moves forward as quickly as possible and to fight for more federal funding in the years ahead to guarantee we are protecting all of our towns from extreme weather and sea-level rise.
2/ Beach replenishment is about the survival of some of Delaware's most cherished communities, and I'm so grateful to my friend Kathy Lock and the Bay Beach Association for all of their work to protect our coastal bay towns.
1/ It was great to be in Slaughter Beach alongside mayors, neighbors, state officials, and the Army Corps of Engineers to discuss the nearly $60 million project to replenish coastal communities along the Delaware Bay.
2/ I’ll keep uplifting the real-world effects felt by patients and providers—and do everything I can to safeguard the care Delawareans deserve. I'm grateful that we have leaders like Dr. Tam working to creatively navigate a very difficult situation.
1/ I met with Dr. David Tam from Beebe Healthcare again today for a sobering conversation about how Trump and Congressional Republicans’ Big Ugly Bill will impact rural hospitals. There’s no sugarcoating it—the consequences will be both devastating and deadly.
2/ Our veterans have had our backs—and now, we must have theirs. I’ll keep working to ensure Delaware’s veterans and their families have access to the care, resources, and respect they’ve earned.
1/ I was proud to join Senator Chris Coons, @bluntrochester.senate.gov, Governor Matt Meyer, and the Delaware National Guard this morning for the annual Veterans Summit.
In case you’ve got any extra cash lying around (in Trump’s economy??), the Trump administration would now like you to Venmo Uncle Sam to help pay down the $3.4 trillion that they just added to the national debt.
Don't believe me? See for yourself: pay.gov/public/form/start/23779454
2/ I’m proud to be an original cosponsor of the Raise the Wage Act, which would raise the federal minimum wage to $17/hour by 2030.
It’s past time to raise the wage.
1/ It’s been 16 years since Congress last raised the federal minimum wage—but wages have remained stagnant and failed to keep up with inflation. Workers in Delaware and across the country deserve a living wage.

There’s a pattern with Donald Trump: the powerful get their way and this administration covers for them.
BREAKING: Speaker Johnson is sending the House home early to dodge a vote on releasing the Epstein Files.
For Congressional Republicans, transparency isn’t a principle—it’s an inconvenience.
Transgender servicemembers have served with honor, distinction, and unshakable patriotism.
But the Trump administration is now telling them they can no longer serve because of how they express their gender.
That message is immoral. It is unfair. And it is un-American.
2/ I'm eager to keep fighting for an economy that works for everyone—and where anyone can start a business.
1/I've got more big news for you, Delaware: the House just passed the bipartisan legislation I'm co-leading—the Equal Opportunity for All Investors Act! Access to capital continues to be a major obstacle for so many entrepreneurs who want to start their own businesses.
⏰ 🚨 I took to the floor to urge my colleagues to pass my bipartisan bill—the Equal Opportunity for All Investors Act. It’s a commonsense fix that opens the door for entrepreneurs that have been historically shut out from starting a small business.
2/ This is fiscal responsibility, Speaker Johnson?
1/ $3.4 trillion will be added to the national debt thanks to the Big Ugly Bill.
