1/ The Trump administration's gutting of the Institute of Museum and Library Services is a direct attack on rural families, veterans, caregivers, and children, including thousands of Delawareans who rely on our libraries for housing, job, and health care assistance.
In 2017, then-Senator Marco Rubio said, “I don't want to see us move towards a foreign policy where human rights only matters when nothing else matters, when something more important isn't standing in the way."
I hope Senator Rubio is listened to by Secretary Rubio.
On #InternationalWorkersDay, we honor the legacy and bravery of workers who've fought for safety and dignity on the job.
As a member of the Labor Caucus and a champion for our unions, I'll continue to advocate for pro-worker and pro-working family policies in Congress. ✊
Over the last 101 days, this administration has left us less secure and less respected.
Throwing out the alliances, organizations, and investments that fostered one of the longest periods of peace between great powers in human history is a tragic self-own.
To paraphrase the Lizzie McGuire movie: How many Donald Trumps does it take to screw in a lightbulb? Don't know. But it only takes one to sink our economy.
2/ This is a terrible tragedy for everyone in the UD and Newark community—if you need support during this time resources can be found here:
1/ I was devastated to learn about the tragic death of a University of Delaware student yesterday. My thoughts are with the student’s family and all those affected, and I am praying for the swift recovery of those injured.
3/ The Equality Act is not about politics; it’s about ensuring freedom and fairness for every American.
2/ Today, as Delaware's Congresswoman and a co-chair of the @equality.house.gov, I’m proud to help lead its reintroduction—because no one should be denied safety, dignity, or opportunity because of who they are.
1/ In 2019, I helped pass the Equality Act as an advocate—with support from both Democrats and Republicans.
On Workers' Memorial Day, we remember and honor the workers who have been killed or injured on the job.
Today—and every day—we renew our commitment to advocating for safer, stronger workplaces and to upholding the rights and dignity of every American worker and union.
I welcome this news that blocks Trump’s atrocious attack on public-sector workers’ collective bargaining rights.
But the fight isn’t over—I’ll continue to speak up and out to protect our unions from overreach.

McBride: If we summon our hope then we will find the light and turn this moment into what a friend from Florida once called a slingshot moment.. where we are pulled backwards but the tension and pressure of being pulled backwards ultimately propels us to destinations that we have not yet been
2/ But we will not let them. As Senator Booker reminded us today: the power of the people is greater than the people in power.
1/ Proud to join @hakeem-jeffries.bsky.social and @booker.senate.gov on the steps of the Capitol to call out the Republican majority's heartless budget that would make the largest Medicaid cut in American history.
2/ I promise each Delawarean this: I will fight hard, I will fight smart, and I will never stop bringing your voices to Washington — standing up to this administration every step of the way.
1/ What was clear from our town hall yesterday — and from my conversations with Delawareans across the state — is that there is real fear right now. But this is not the time to turn on one another. This is the time to come together and mobilize.
Thank you to all the Delawareans who joined our town hall this morning to share their concerns in this moment.
I’ll continue to keep the pressure on this administration to protect vital programs like Medicaid, our rights, and our state.
Tune in as @coons.senate.gov, @bluntrochester.senate.gov, Governor Matt Meyer, Attorney General Kathy Jennings, and I answer Delawareans’ questions about issues facing our state and nation. ⬇️
