While the Trump administration continues to attack Minnesota with his reckless masked agents, trying to use Minnesota to spread his xenophobic message of hate, this moment calls for us to stand up and show our values through our actions.

ICE cannot be reformed. It must be abolished.
DHS did not allow my colleagues and me into the ICE processing center over "concerns for our safety or worry for ICE agents."
That's BS. It is deeply disturbing to think about what ICE is hiding when they are actively denying members from conducting their oversight duty.
Somali Minnesotans are resilient.
We will not let Trump or ICE intimidate us. Our neighbors have our back.
While ICE will eventually leave our beautiful city, we will be here continuing to love and support one another.

Rep Omar: "It's really important for Americans to record, to create the level of transparency we need. What we have seen in Mpls is ICE agents oftentimes jumping out of unmarked cars wearing a mask. We know that DHS has lied repeatedly, so it is important for there to be recording from eyewitnesses"
I was just denied access to the ICE processing center at the Whipple Building.
Members of Congress have a legal right and constitutional responsibility to conduct oversight where people are being detained.
The public deserves to know what is taking place in ICE facilities.
Thousands of Minnesotans gathered last night to honor Renee Nicole Good. We will never accept that a single federal agent can be judge, jury, and executioner in our streets. ICE needs to get out of Minneapolis.
It was not "domestic terrorism.” It was state sanctioned violence.
A family will forever live with the pain caused by the admin's reckless and deadly actions.
Abolishing ICE is not enough. They must be held accountable.

I’m following news of a reported shooting of a legal observer by ICE agents in South Minneapolis.
I’ll continue to monitor the situation closely and will update as soon as I receive information.
ICE must stop terrorizing our communities and leave our city.

“No one is more obsessed with Ilhan Omar than Donald Trump.”
@franifio.bsky.social explains why Ilhan Omar and Somali immigrants have been targets of some of the most “hate-fueled vitriol” ever unleashed by Trump and MAGA.

Rep. Ilhan Omar on Trump calling Somalis "garbage" -- "He's talking about Americans. We are doctors, teachers, entrepreneurs, we are elected representatives of our state. These vile comments and this creepy obsession that he has on me and Somali-Americans really is dangerous and beneath the office"

Rep. Ilhan Omar on Trump's gutter racism: "It's been met with disgust. But it's also been met with resilience and people saying, 'These are my fellow Minnesotans and I'm going to stand up for them."
The Epstein files are set to drop tomorrow. Right on cue, the Pedophile Protection Party speaker canceled votes before the deadline.
The American people deserve the entire truth.
No delays.
No cover-ups.
No redactions.
The president's creepy obsession with me is deeply unhealthy.
Trump falls back on the same tired bigotry to distract from his obvious failures.
His recycled xenophobia won’t intimidate me or silence my fight for the people of Minnesota’s 5th District.
Here is what Trump and his enablers fail to understand: Immigrants love this country deeply. We love democracy. We cherish the rule of law, the promise of due process and the idea that our diversity is a strength, not a threat.
My op-ed:
Operation Metro Surge is state-sanctioned racial profiling used as a tool of political intimidation.
But Somali Minnesotans aren’t intimidated, we’re brave and resilient, and our neighbors have our back.
We don’t cower to bullies.
No matter what words Trump throws at me, I will not let that deter my work for the people of the Fifth District.
Trump should know by now that he should never pick a fight with a Somali woman. 😉
Trump’s obsession with me is beyond weird. He needs serious help.
Since he has no economic policies to tout, he’s resorting to regurgitating bigoted lies instead.
He continues to be a national embarrassment.
