💪 @weareliuna.bsky.social @gatewayprogram.bsky.social Laborer Derrick Healy is representing us at tonight's State of the Union as a guest of @pallone.house.gov, a pro-Union ally.
When Trump froze funds for the Gateway Tunnel project, 1,000 workers lost paychecks overnight. Why would he do something so foolish, you ask? To get his name on Penn Station. Really.
I continue to stand with the Ukrainian people in their fight for freedom, and I will continue to push the Trump Administration to stop ingratiating itself to the bloodthirsty Putin regime. Ukraine deserves unity, sovereignty, and security.
Four years ago today, Putin launched his full-scale invasion of Ukraine and unleashed countless horrors on a nation that dared to demand democracy and freedom. Cities have been razed to the ground, children have been kidnapped, and thousands of people have died. The world cannot look away.
If Trump is that desperate for recognition, I’ve got any number of landfills in my district he can put his name on instead. Just let workers like Derrick get the tunnel project back on track, POTUS!

What I saw at Delaney Hall today disgusted me. Liberty is a New Jersey value—it’s in our motto. Trump’s ICE is trampling on liberty by unjustly detaining our neighbors in this inhumane facility. This is not who we are as a state or as a country.
While Democrats worked to restore access and lower health care costs, Donald Trump and Congressional Republicans spent the entirety of last year making health care unaffordable and inaccessible for MILLIONS of Americans.   This is a REPUBLICAN health care crisis.
Americans are struggling to make ends meet because of Donald Trump, but he calls the affordability crisis a “hoax.”

The real hoax is Trump’s economic agenda.
“I don’t want to imagine how they would act if they were unsupervised,” a 14-year old writes about the ICE officers holding her in a detention center in Texas.   Seeing these words written by a child is heartbreaking. There must be accountability.
Congressional Republicans are shutting down our disaster response, maritime safety, and airport security because they want to let ICE roam our streets with NO accountability. Instead of enabling lawless masked federal agents, House Republicans need to work with Democrats to rein in Trump’s DHS.
Excited to announce that my 11th Annual Poetry Showcase is now up and running! Students grades K-12 are welcome to submit original poems to my office by March 13th for a chance to be featured. Happy writing!
America has come too far. LGBTQ+ Americans and their contributions to our history will not be erased.  The Pride flag deserves to fly over the birthplace of America's LGBTQ+ rights movement—and I'm proud of my colleagues across the Hudson for rebuking Trump's efforts to rewrite Stonewall's story.
We won’t let Trump erase LGBTQ+ history. Stonewall was a rebellion. Stonewall was a beginning. Today, Stonewall is a call to action once again. I’m proud to be at Stonewall today as we re-raise the Pride flag. It’s flying once again.
