This man showed amazing courage.
He is an inspiration to all who believe that our communities can live in peace. He is worthy of the “Righteous Among the Nations” award established by Yad Vashem.

As we join in prayer for those who are seriously wounded, we must all resolve to confront antisemitism everywhere. What begins as hateful words ends as the hateful acts that we saw in #Bondi this morning. 2/2
I joined all 25 Jewish Democrat and Republican members of the House of Representatives in denouncing the horrific antisemitic terror attack that was carried out in #Australia early today. 1/2
Australia. Our hearts and prayers are with the victims and their families. This attack on peaceful people celebrating the Hanukkah season was the largest terrorist attack against Jews since #October7, 2023.
At least 11 killed as gunmen open fire on Hanukkah celebration at Sydney’s Bondi Beach https://www.timesofisrael.com/at-least-11-killed-as-gunmen-open-fire-on-hanukkah-celebration-at-sydneys-bondi-beach/
Another heinous gun violence attack at @brownupolisci.bsky.social. Students should be focused on studying for finals, and not worried about an active shooter on campus.
Sending my deep condolences to the victims and their families.

U.S. companies should not be allowed to hand over to China the very technology it needs to beat America in the AI race – especially when we know that China won’t put any safeguards on AI technology. 2/2
President #DonaldTrump’s decision to allow #NVIDIA to sell H200 chips to #China puts America last. 1/2

Today I voted to allow the resolution to #impeach President #Trump to move forward.
Unfortunately, a majority of my colleagues voted to block consideration of this resolution.
We should have allowed it to proceed and given it the serious debate it deserved.
At today’s @ushousefsc.bsky.social hearing, I emphasized the need to promote the safety and soundness of our banking system while ensuring housing and small business aren’t penalized.

It was great to speak at the Israel Allies Foundation reception and meet with pro-#Israel legislators from around the world and proud supporters of the U.S.-Israel relationship here at home.
We will continue fighting for the truth despite the disinformation campaign Israel faces.
#Israel and #Bolivia signed an agreement in Washington today committing to the full restoration of diplomatic relations and the opening of a new stage of strategic cooperation. (2/2)
Pleased to meet today with Bolivia’s Foreign Minister, Fernando Aramayo Carrasco, at @aipac1.bsky.social headquarters to discuss the historic reestablishment of diplomatic ties between #Bolivia and #Israel. (1/2)
At today’s @houseforeign.bsky.social hearing, I discussed the history and strategic importance of the U.S. – #Israel relationship.

I am proud to serve as the Ranking Member of the Congress-Knesset Parliamentary Friendship Group as we work with our close ally, Israel, to advance U.S. interests in the region. 3/3
We discussed how the U.S. and #Israel can work together on the pressing challenges facing the region, from disarming Hamas to making sure any U.S.-Saudi nuclear deal has appropriate safeguards. 2/3
Yesterday, the Congress-Knesset Parliamentary Friendship Group met with Knesset Speaker Amir Ohana and MK Eitan Ginzburg. 1/3
At today’s @ushousefsc.bsky.social hearing, I pressed #AI executives on the risk of an AI-driven market bubble, the need to prevent AI from drifting toward self-awareness, and to ensure it never displaces human intelligence or enables discrimination.

The #Trump Administration must stop playing political games with our National Guard, follow the law, and return control of the troops to California. The President is not king.
