I hope people get past loyalty to Trump and start looking at the costs of his policies.

I have legislation to build more affordable housing with prefabricated materials to close these discrepancies and bring down costs for Washingtonians.
My father paid $15,000 for my childhood home—a house that would cost roughly half a million dollars today. A monthly mortgage payment is double the cost of rent in the Seattle area now, showing an even greater gap in our housing space.
My statement on the Longview, Washington chemical explosion.

Join my office on Wednesday, June 3 at 12:00 p.m. for the Food Access and Savings Webinar! We’ll hear from an experienced panel about nutrition resources in our community and combatting hunger across Puget Sound. Expert guests include DSHS, WIC/DOH, United Way of King County, and 211.
American families have spent an extra $190 on gas since the war with Iran started. My constituents can’t afford to pay what would be an extra week of groceries or a month’s electricity bill. President Trump needs to put working-class people first and end the hostilities in Iran.

Today, we honor the memories of those Americans who died in service to our nation, including countless LGBTQI+ troops.
It is in their memory that we are fighting alongside @democrats-armedservices.house.gov & @democrats-veterans.house.gov to end discrimination in our military & against veterans.

This Memorial Day, House Democrats honor the brave men and women who have given their lives in service to our country.
Their sacrifice will never be forgotten.

Today, we honor service members who have made the ultimate sacrifice to ensure the security and strength of our country endures. Our gratitude should not only be expressed on this day, but every day.
My statement on tonight’s shooting near the White House.
Read my piece in The Hill about eliminating hedge funds from buying up single-family homes.
There is now bipartisan recognition in Congress that large-scale corporate ownership of single-family homes has distorted the housing market in ways that warrant a legislative response — and that we need to build more homes to address the underlying shortage.
This war has been a disaster from the start.
Whether it’s to pay for a ballroom or hand out tax breaks to the president’s wealthy friends, Donald Trump continues to put the interests of the rich ahead of working families across our country.
After slashing health care for millions of Americans in the so-called “Big Beautiful Bill,” the Trump administration is now threatening to withhold another $1.3 billion in Medicaid funding.
Gas prices have risen 53% higher since Trump started this war of choice with Iran. I’ve heard from my constituents, and they cannot afford to pay an extra $50 at the pump. If the president gave a damn about the finances of the American people, he’d end the fighting today.
These costs add up for Washington families. Trump needs to end this war to help bring economic relief to those back home.
The numbers aren’t lying – the war with Iran has driven prices up for the American people.
Energy prices are up 22% in the past year, which means if you were paying $50 on electricity, that’s an extra $11 each month.
