The Trump administration won't stop trying to whitewash history to fit their narrative. The panels at the President's House tell the truth about the horrors of slavery during George Washington's time in Philadelphia. Americans deserve to know our whole shared history, not just pieces of it.
The Trump administration appealed a judge's order to restore slavery exhibits at the President's House in Philadelphia. https://www.cbsnews.com/philadelphia/news/slavery-exhibits-presidents-house-site-philadelphia-orders/
It was an honor to celebrate our Class of 2030 nominees to U.S. Service Academies and their families with a recognition ceremony at my district office with members of the PA-05 service academy selection board! Congrats to this year's nominees!
Reverend Jesse Jackson's commitment to civil rights and his leadership in advancing justice and equality for all Americans reshaped our country by moving it toward the formation of a "more perfect union." His presence will be missed, but his work and vision will live on.
Breaking News: The Rev. Jesse Jackson, whose fiery speeches and populist vision made him a charismatic champion of civil rights, died at 84.
It's already the law that only Americans can vote in US elections Real IDs in Pennsylvania do not qualify as proof of citizenship, so that means you would have to pay $165 to get a passport to register to vote. The SAVE America Act will disenfranchise millions of Americans.
If you think that ICE's actions don’t affect American citizens - think again. Hundreds of citizens' detentions and abuses were documented BEFORE the Chicago and Minnesota ICE surges, where we saw even more Americans abused and killed at the hands of federal agents.
When the Supreme Court allowed immigration agents to consider race during sweeps, Justice Brett Kavanaugh said that citizens shouldn’t be concerned because agents will “promptly let the individual go.” For these Americans, that wasn’t true. (Published Oct. 2025)
By repealing the EPA regulation that underpins all US regulation of greenhouse gases, the Trump administration is sacrificing our global climate so that fossil fuel companies can make even greater profits. www.washingtonpost.com/climate-envi...
The end of ICE's reign of terror is long overdue. Both the trauma and death that this administration has inflicted on American communities are inexcusable. The people of Minnesota deserve our gratitude for standing up for their neighbors, human rights, and the rule of law.
Breaking News: The Trump administration repealed the bedrock scientific finding that greenhouse gases threaten human life and well being, meaning that the EPA can no longer regulate them. nyti.ms/4rSszQu
Republicans in Congress gutted Medicaid last summer. The Senate has the opportunity to pass the House's 3-year extension of the ACA tax credits and lower healthcare costs for American families.
2 out of 3 Americans are worried about paying for health care. A majority of the public also says they expect health care costs for them and their families to become even less affordable in the coming year. www.kff.org/public-opini...
75% of Pennsylvanians don't have a Real ID, and 50% don't have a passport. If the SAVE America Act passes, they wouldn't be able to vote THIS November. Any member of Congress from Pennsylvania who votes yes is voting against the interests of their constituents.
REP. SCANLON: “Will you commit to provide this committee with your list of entities that you recommend be designated as domestic terrorist organizations?” BONDI: “I’m not going to commit to anything to you because you won’t let me answer questions.”
