These photos get more outrageous the more you look at them. Tearing down the People's House for a $300M vanity project while federal workers go unpaid and America barrels towards a health care crisis. A literal depiction of what Trump is doing to our country.
Photos of the demolished East Wing of the White House.
Republicans say they care about federal workers, but today they blocked my bill to pay ALL federal workers, servicemembers, and contractors and stop Trump’s illegal firings. I hope they’ll join us to get our public servants paid — but not in a way that lets Trump turn around and fire them anyway.
We need to call out those who cave to Trump's bullying, and that is exactly what UVA is doing here. It's not just wrong — it's counterproductive, feeds the beast, and just encourages more mafia-like blackmail from this lawless administration.
A right-wing press corps is not a press corps — it's a propaganda machine for an authoritarian president. Grateful for the journalists who refused to bend the knee to this lawless regime. Our democracy depends on them continuing to speak truth to power.
🚨@merkley.senate.gov is STILL speaking on the Senate floor. I’m about to join him there to call out this authoritarian president who refuses to open the government and is betraying the American people at every turn. Tune in: www.youtube.com/live/ymDt1Xe...
My friend @merkley.senate.gov is holding the Senate floor all night to sound the alarm on Trump’s lawless regime. Proud to stand with him in this fight and in the U.S. Senate. There can be no business as usual.
Week 4 of the shutdown. Federal workers unpaid. A looming health care crisis. And Trump? He's talking to everyone BUT Democrats —sending billions of taxpayer dollars to his buddy in Argentina and negotiating in the Middle East while refusing to reopen his own government. Insane.
Maria Greeley is a U.S. citizen who was detained by ICE and told her passport “isn’t real” and that she “doesn’t look like” her last name. What do they think an American should look like? This racial profiling happens every day under Trump’s lawless regime. It’s un-American.
It’s now been a month since we learned Trump’s team shut down an investigation into Tom Homan taking a $50K bribe — and we haven't seen an ounce of transparency or accountability. Where did Tom stash the cash? What is he hiding? Americans deserve to know.
Trump and his cronies say they want to take down MS-13, but behind closed doors they're conspiring with Bukele to hide evidence of his government's collusion with MS-13—all so he can imprison individuals disappeared from the US in violation of their due process rights. Shameful.
Kings and dictators thrive when everyday people stay silent and look the other way.   Yesterday, millions of Americans — including these fired-up Marylanders in Towson — stood up and said:   We will not be silent. We will not look away. NO KINGS.
Trump and his cronies spread all sorts of lies about yesterday's No Kings Day protests. I'll tell you what I saw from these folks in Columbia and throughout Maryland — Americans of all ages gathering peacefully to deliver a simple message: In America, we don't bow down to kings.
Today in North Bethesda, across Maryland, and all over the country, millions of patriots are standing up to send a clear message to this lawless president: You are not a king. And we will NEVER submit to kings or dictators in America.
Today I kicked off No Kings Day with hundreds of fired up patriots at NIH who are standing up to this lawless president. Together we said NO to his attacks on public health. NO to his assault on our Constitution. NO to kings in America. And YES to standing up for our democracy.
