🚨 Ever Alvarenga, an asylum seeker, was driving to work Thursday morning when he was rear-ended by an ICE vehicle. He is still in the hospital after suffering significant injuries to his head, chest, back, & hands. [1/2]
Wednesday night, Trump claimed victory in his war in Iran.   This has been anything but a win. Iran now firmly controls the Strait of Hormuz & its leaders are more hardline than before.   We are less safe & Americans, the region, & the world are paying a very heavy price.
Trump promised to keep us out of foreign wars & focus on helping Americans here at home. Now, he says we can't lower costs for Americans because we need to keep funding his & Netanyahu's war of choice against Iran. He must be held accountable.
Good riddance. Bondi was Trump’s tool for weaponizing the DOJ against his political foes & defying the law. She's only out b/c she’s bungled the Epstein files cover-up. Her replacement will also be a Trump puppet. We must remain vigilant & protect the truth & our Constitution.
Trump is right, we can either pay for “daycare, Medicaid, Medicare all these things," or we can pay for more war. Every dollar we spend on this illegal war of choice, is a dollar that could have helped improve life right here at home. He's telling us what he cares about more.
Trump: "The US can't take of daycare. That has to be up to a state. We're fighting wars. Medicaid, Medicare -- they can do it on a state basis. We have to take care of one thing: military protection. But all these little scams that have taken place, you have to let states take care of them."
Trump, as always, lied to us. Over 2 weeks ago he said "we won." If so, then why are we still there? What’s next? All we can count on is more lies from Trump. This delusional man is a danger to our country and the world.
Over 400 hospitals across America are at risk of closure or cutting services directly as a result of Medicaid cuts in Trump’s Big, Beautiful Bill.   Trump's $1 TRILLION Medicaid cut helped finance $1 TRILLION in tax cuts just for the top 1%.   This monstrosity must be reversed.
Tonight, Artemis II will take humans further than they've ever gone into space, helping us learn more about our universe & one day return to the moon.   Marylander Reid Wiseman leads the mission guided by the Near Space Network at NASA Goddard.   Making Maryland & America proud!
RFK Jr's time at HHS has put lives at risk. We've seen medical research undermined, clinical trials disrupted, key scientists fired & more measles outbreaks. The first step to Making America Healthy Again is firing RFK & his cronies.
Just yesterday the Netanyahu govt adopted a law to hang Palestinians who commit certain crimes in the West Bank but not Israeli settlers who commit the same crimes. Why are we sending a blank check of billions of $ to a govt that pursues these & other blatantly racist policies?
Thanks to Trump's Big, Beautiful Bill, big corporations paid $65 BILLION LESS in federal taxes last year. For reference, $65 BILLION could pay for over 2 years of ACA tax credit extensions. They literally cut healthcare to give mega-corps like Amazon & Meta a tax cut.
If Trump could have paid our TSA agents all along, why'd he wait 45 days to do so? The answer: He wanted to hold TSA, FEMA, the Coast Guard & others hostage to try & get another blank check for his lawless ICE operation. He failed. The House should pass our bipartisan bill, NOW.
Trump's war of choice in Iran has cost us the lives of 13 American service members & injured hundreds, killed thousands of civilians, & is costing $2 BILLION per day. With Trump considering putting boots on the ground, we must say loud & clear: End this war, NOW! 📍Aberdeen, MD
Donald Trump would love nothing more than for us to be scared, be afraid, & be silent while he wrecks our democracy. But as millions of Americans are showing today, we will not be scared, we will not go away, & we will say loudly: NO KINGS! 📍Laurel, MD
We have 50,000 troops around Iran, with more on the way, as the possibility of boots on the ground in Iran looms. We've lost 13 American service members with hundreds wounded, nearly 1500 civilians have been killed, & we are less safe. We need to END this war, not escalate it.
Deputy AG Blanche says he "cleaned house" at the FBI, removing anyone involved in prosecutions against Trump. This is how dictators act. The DOJ & FBI aren't the president’s attack dogs. They’re supposed to work for the people against the corruption that Trump represents.
