ICE targeting a child, handcuffing them, and forcing them into detention is despicable. It is inhumane. I am calling on the Administration to free this child immediately. Additionally, TPS protections must be restored for all who've had them unfairly ripped away.
Su trabajo ayudó a los trabajadores del campo conseguir derechos y protecciones de los cuáles millones de personas se benefician hoy en día, y cambió el camino de nuestra nación. (3/4)
Dolores Huerta dedicated her life to fighting for a better future for workers, immigrants, women, and communities whose voices were too often ignored. Her work helped farmworkers secure rights and protections that millions benefit from today and changed the course of our nation. (2/3)
This is pure desperation from Trump. It's another baseless attempt by this Administration to stoke fear and undermine confidence in our elections. It will not work. Our elections belong to voters, NOT Trump.
ICE enforcement near schools in San Diego isn't making us safer. It's just terrorizing our students. I led the SD Congressional delegation in calling for an end to this, and it was an honor to have Senator Schiff in San Diego last week to make it clear: ICE doesn't belong anywhere near our schools.
Glad to join Sweetwater Authority to celebrate National City Wells’ new treatment system. Investing in reliable local water infrastructure is an investment in the future of our communities. I’m proud to have helped secure over $950,000 in federal funding to help improve water quality.

Livestreaming an execution is not a show of our country's strength. It is a medieval and grotesque spectacle that corrupts our society and core values. We are better than this. Secretary Hegseth is not fit to lead. He must go.
I fully agree with the Catholic bishops and other faith leaders. I would expect to see this from a terror group or dictator, but not here in the United States.
The Defense Department’s announcement that it would live-stream the execution of Fort Hood shooter Nidal Malik Hasan reverses decades of established practice surrounding the death penalty. The announcement has raised many legal and ethical questions. https://wapo.st/4dx3CoZ
A quote in white text on a black background. The quote reads: "[This is] a barbaric promotion of a culture of death. ... The public execution even of one who has done grave harm will only further undermine the moral fabric of our nation and be a blight on the conscience of its people." Below the quote, it states: "Archbishop Paul Coakley, president of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops.
